Hey guys I'm fairly new to the boards. I've been lurking around researching as much as I can and am having a tough time making a decision.
I'm looking for a new 55' for my living room and am open to most of the major brands. I know that all of the newer leds have some issues to deal with when it comes to uniformity, light bleed around the edges and black levels, but I'm hoping to avoid major flaws. I wouldn't say that I'm a videophile, but I can definitely spot issues when they arise.
My budget is around $2,000, give or take a few hundred. I'll be watching mostly HD digital cable, Blu Ray and streaming video such as MLB and NHL from my Apple tv. I have my eye on the Panasonic DT50, but I don't know if I'll be able to wait until May or June since our living room in the new house is sitting empty waiting for me to make a decision.
I recently went into Best Buy to check some things out and left feeling like my retinas were on fire. I'm hoping to get a few opinions from you guys that have experience with the different models in a real life setting. I appreciate any advice in advance!
Thanks,
Aaron
