I have a very old Yamaha htr 5740 and started to notice the sound degrading in the last few weeks. No changes have been made to the cabling from any of my sources. I even tested a few different coax and optical cables to be sure and still the same issue. Is it possible for a receiver to lose quality through the years especially since it was only a $200 receiver?
