I set a season pass and grabbed all the season 2 eps, going through them now. Holy crap this is some funny stuff, can't watch too many in a row or my stomach will hurt.

Ted Danson as Bryan as Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, in "Mission: Impossible 8."

So glad this is back. I am hysterically laughing throughout every episode and I love it.

This was a great series that provided many genuine laughs. Showing the trio as elders in a home at the end was a nice touch.

Now I'm off to saw my mattress so it will fit between furniture. Springs hanging out of the side be damned. biggrin.gif

I'm going to miss that little round headed buffoon Karl Pilkington. I really enjoyed hearing what he had to say. I wish Ricky hadn't canceled this show and Idiot abroad.

This show is canceled? Where did you read that?

I know Ricky had mentioned on Twitter on Friday that it was the last episode, but the Tweet seems to have disappeared.

& I don't know if it's "canceled" in the usual sense of the word, he just doesn't want to do any more episodes. Here's a quote from his blog about it:

"So I don't think I'm going to do a fourth series of The Ricky Gervais Show.

39 episodes is more than I've ever done for any other project (Yes. I know that's pathetic but trust me.) and I don't want to push my luck.
I think the show has steadily grown in both quality and popularity and I'd love to go out on a high so to speak. My worry is that as we've used up all the best material we'd have to record hours and hours of new stuff and it might ruin the naivety of the whole thing. Never say never though, like The Office. But certainly for now.

Karl and I have also decided to end An Idiot Abroad after the two specials we're recording at the moment. Again, I think these could be the funniest adventures yet and I'd hate to outstay our welcome."

I would take this show over Idiot Abroad any day of the week. I'm glad there's even a small hope of getting more.

I will miss it as well. Karl is hilarious.

Interesting... I thought I had read several months ago that Ricky was planning on recording some new stuff for a 4th season. Guess he changed his mind.

I know Ricky has some new show he is devoting his time on. He posted something on facebook a while back about ending both the Ricky Gervais show and idiot abroad show. There is supposed to be 2 specials of idiot abroad.
I'm not sure what the name of his new show is. I wish he would continue with Ricky Gervais show. I know on facebook everyone is unhappy with the shows ending.

Well, he did have a new show....LIFE'S TOO SHORT with Warwick Davis...which I liked better than IDIOT and GERVAIS SHOW. (Liam Neeson doing stand-up was priceless.)
