We recently got out Comcast Digital Transport Adapters (DTA's) to hook up to our cable lines in the house because Comcast is switching to digital signals. The problem I have is the remote that came with my DTA is absolutely worthless. It does what it needs to do as for volume control and changing channels, but is lacking the other fancy functions such as component control. So Im forced to use two remotes.
I was curious as to whether I can setup my vizio remote to control the cable box as well. Here's my hardware:
A vizio universal remote model XRU100
A Pace cable box (DTA) model DC50XU
I understand that most universals don't work with the DTA's because they use a different IR protocol. I'm just looking for a solution or wondering if there is a specific programming code that will control my DTA.
