Da-lite: BRING HIGH POWER 2.8 BACK!

The high contrast 2.4 model doesn,t compare well with the new 2.4 material that replaces the 2.8 , To narrow a cone in the widths people want these days.
I think the move to eliminate the old was money spent in manufacturing the 2.8. Comparing the samples of old vs new 2.4 its easy to see its a cheaper made screen. Doesn,t mean thats bad in itself as the 2.4 is a good compromise overall.
It would be nice if they simply add the 2.8 and charge accordingly for their troubles instead of stopping production on it
I would like to have it back also as I,ve been looking for a wider version of the 2.8 I have used for a long time and might still get the new 2.4 if a big used 2.8 never surfaces

I would like to see it come back as well and I have talked to DaLite's manager about this back when I got shafted on mine and got a 2.4 instead. My situation, and after all the nonsense I went through with Dalite, it does't matter if it comes out again, they aren't getting my money.

To compare the 2.4 hc to the original 2.8 is not fair, it is not meant to be the same screen.

I just got an En4k screen and will be selling my Dalite HP 2.8 16:9 133". Whats the going rate on the used market?

Shipping cost is high on an object like a screen.. So you may want to find out what that will cost first before you think about what it is "Worth" Local sale would be your best option but very limiting.

Yeah, shipping kills. I ended up donating my electric 133" HP to a school.

One option is to sell just the material to someone who wants to make a fixed screen.

I am in Nashville. I do have the box and materials so at least I could ship it with appropriate packing.

The problem is that something that long has to go as freight..

I think Fedex will ship it.. I put the dimensions into my Fedex account and it accepted it... said around $100 to California.. I assume everywhere else is slightly cheaper.

But I dont want to hijack this thread any more..sorry about that... was just looking to see what I should ask for it...
