lowest gauge for switcher

I am using a 2 way HDMI switcher. What gauge should I use with the switcher: 24 or 22 gauge? The lengths are short, about 10' each.. thanks in advance..

I would always go for the larger gauge unless the cost is prohibitively different. Ten feet is a fairly long run for some HDMI systems (yes I know there are folk running much longer, but...) You also have the loss in the switch to contend with (unless it has an active gain stage) so the effective loss may be higher than 10' of cable.

AFAIK 24 gauge is adequate for lengths on the order of 3-4 meters. However at these frequencies cable loss depends on more than just copper conductor gauge, and its manufacturer's recommendations can matter very much.
