Help a dummy

Thread Starter
Ok, so I am an old fart trying hard to set something up for the kids in the spare room. I know I am a dummy, so no need to call me one

I have a Sansui plasma SV -EPD-4230BP and a Sansui AU-X410R Amp

Is it possible to connect an amp direct to the tv, if so, what cable goes where. I have tried a few combinations and nada. I have both manuals, but hell even the writing has gotten smaller since I last read them.

please assist if you can

regards

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Is the TV being fed anything like cable, satellite, dvd, blu-ray, etc?

I think you need to invest in a magnifying glass, and spend a few hours reading through the manuals. With age, tech becomes more frustrating, I think mostly because of impatience.

I'm guessing Sansui is a brand name? Most TVs don't require an external amp - are you attaching speakers?

There may be a setting in the TV menus/setup that allows the external audio jack to function, to use that external amp.

Sansui - wow, havent heard that brand in like 30 years.

Simple as water: AUDIO OUT to AUDIO IN.

AUDIO OUT can also be Earphones.

AUDIO IN - there will be many in an amp, pick one, then switch your amp input accordingly.

Make sure everything is POWERED ON.
