Double image video projector problem; ghosting?

Hi everyone,

I have an old NEC mt1030+ video projector. Since some days i mentioned that the projector is showing a double image. Its not the connection, i tried another input and shorter cables, but its still the same (VGA and Composite). On the first image, is my taskbar. You can see a double image, to the left of the icons:

I've opened Paint, and started to make some test images (i couldnt find out how i could do this in my projector menu). The results are weird, these are some pictures I've token (the dotted line is the double image, i haven't drawn it myself):

Black background, no double image. (at least not visible)

White background, no double image. (at least not visible)

grey background, double image (dotted line) to the left of the original image. It seems to be only Magenta and it appears in "columns"!? (This is why the line is dotted) This column problem is very good visible at the last picture.

I tried changing settings from the video projector, without beter results.
Does anybody have any idea what's wrong? how i can fix this?

Any help would be great, thanks!

ow sorry! I thought it was an English word, from the word beam. what i mean is a video projector . In the netherlands and in germany, beamer is actual the common word for a video projector.

Surely looks like a some kind of a processing fault. Might be a broken chip / a bunch of bad capacitators?
