I'm super excited about this movie. Big fan of every Tarantino film, except Kill Bill Vol. 1. My favourite of all is Inglourious Basterds.

Of course, I'm also really looking forward to Christoph Waltz and Tarantino teaming up again. His performance as Col. Hans Landa is one of the greatest I've ever seen.

I was thinking this was about a two fingered gypsy guitarist going on a killing spree or something.

Wow, this has my interest. I recently watched RD for perhaps the 12th time and am itching for a new Tarantino release. The only one he put out that made me frown was Kill Bill Vol. 2, but that's still a great batting average for a film maker.

Leo the fore ever boy once again trying to prove he can wear man's shoes. Ok we get it, he's talented and deep but it's getting tired with the same schtick...Howard hughes, J Edgar, etc but let's be real he's never going to be in the realm of Daniel day lewis. He needs to branch out and do something more his speed like his peers Ed norton, Damon and Cruise or something different like a action flick or even a marvel comic book as I'm sure there's more planned. He can do it, I don't why he doesn't do em it's almost like he has the sean penn syndrome and doesn't want to "sell out". Well his agent or someone should tell him it's time his career needs some selling out to keep it interesting.

You know one thing that makes a bonafide A list hollywood star is someone who has a franchise and Leo is one A lister that does not. Willis has die hard, Arnold has terminator, Cruise has MI, Damon has Bourne, Keanu has Matrix, Will has Men in black etc. Leo..where's yours big buy?
Leo's franchise is called "films by Martin Scorsese".
I just don't think Leo has much to appologize for. I mean he's been in a raft of top notch movies and he's got the chops to back it up.

I am looking forward to this movie, being a Western lover, but I don't expect it to do big numbers simply because it's a western.

After reading the description of the role, it's easy to see why some actors would shy away...

However, all doesn't appear to be lost:
Beaks over at AICN says Russell's role "has essentially been absorbed by Walton Goggins, who plays the equally nasty Billy Crash.

Saw the trailer this morning. Looks like it could be great. Love Christoph Waltz. I'm also a little concerned over DiCaprio's casting for this, but I love most of his work, so I'm sure he'll make it work.

I didn't see a release date. Is there one yet?
I believe its release date is Christmas Day

Can't get here soon enough.

I am a huge QT fan, all of his films are top-tier IMO.
Very creative, very unique....with a voice that is easy to identify.smile.gif

telegraph lines ran from town to town... they were sparing in town, and they look way to elevated. it looks like you can see a transformer on the high one way in the background. maybe they will touched out in the final movie.

Nah, your typical bird perch. They’ve been around since the very beginning.

Christmas ain't bad...better than next year.

No doubt on QT - guy is the master of dialogue in films. Waltz was amazing in IB - and judging by the trailer, I wouldn't expect anything less here.

Yeah, I can see a transformer on the nearest pole...
As you said...hopefully, someone in post will see it too and delete.

That could very easily be a junction box on the pole.

I stopped getting too excited about movies many a year ago, but I can't help it with this one. Loads and loads of potential awesomeness.

I usually agree about LD in this regard. Not just him, but many of today actors when compared to the "stars" of yesteryear. However, while his appearance in a film won't sway me either way as far as seeing it or not, I can say that pretty much every time I see him I have no complaints about the job he does. He just looks young, and IMO, especially in still pictures. He seems to carry a little more weight in motion.

New Django Unchained trailer.

Looks fantastic. Even the Leo haters should like his performance.
