'Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23' - on ABC HD - Page 4

I just came here specifically to post about this. I watched the Paris episode then the Scarlet Neighbor which is the most recently recorded one. The thing that brought my attention to this is the earlier episode June is at her new job and then suddenly in the most recent one she is at the coffee shop with no explanation at all. They are definitely out of order...

There also are episodes with Liza Lapira interspersed with episodes where Ray Ford is in the opening cast credits.  Also, in the epilogue of "Bar Lies," JvdB calls the series "Apartment 23," which was a temporarily considered title before the series premiered many months earlier, indicating (as did Lapira's name in that episode's opening credits) that it was intended for Season 1.

Actually, now the "Scarlet Neighbor" is labeled #9. So, either I was crazy a week ago or it changed. While I am crazy, pretty sure I see numbers properly. "Mean Girls" (#10) has not had a number since it was recorded on Sunday. Weird.

Too bad it seems to be cancelled.

It was a temporary experiment to try a comedy block on Sunday nights for just a few weeks to fill the hole where 666 Park Ave. was before it was cancelled . So they aired a block of misc. Happy Endings and Apartment 23 episodes as filler. No need to be alarmed, or to think the show is cancelled because it isn't on Sundays anymore. It was always supposed to be a temporary thing.

Spiky... are you saying the description changed on your TiVo recording? Mine still says Scarlet Neighbor is episode 8.

Not looking too good for this show:

This is just speculation, and it’s not even my own speculation, but the math makes sense, and it points to one thing: ABC is either about to pull the plug on Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23, or it’s going to burn off the remaining episodes this summer, and then pull the plug. That’s the bad news in the scenario; the good news? There may still be a glimmer of hope for Happy Endings. Follow me here through the math:

Apparently, ABC quietly revealed that on Tuesday, January 29th, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23 will be pre-empted for a second all new episode of Happy Endings. OK, so no big deal, right? Well, because ABC is airing their new Anthony Bourdain cooking show, The Taste, tonight there won’t be any episodes of Happy Endings or Don’t Touch the B—-. Likewise, the two weeks following the January 29th double-pumping of Happy Endings, both shows will be preempted, first by the State of the Union address and then by a two-hour premiere of The Bachelor. So, the next possible Happy Endings will be February 19th. Got it? Well, on March 19th, Dancing with the Stars returns, which means that NEITHER show will air on Tuesdays again this year after March 19th.

So, between February 19th and March 19th, there are 5 weeks left. There are also 10 Happy Endings episodes remaining this season, after the January 29th double-pumping. Happy Endings gets slightly better ratings, it’s closer to a syndication deal, and it’s base audience is larger. What does that mean? According to Sitcoms Online, and anybody with a half a brain who sees the scenario (this does not necessarily include television executives), ABC will probably double pump Happy Endings those last five Tuesdays, casting Don’t Trust the B— aside for the remainder of the network television season, giving it virtually no hope of renewal. Meanwhile, if Happy Endings gets renewed, it’s one full season away from a potential syndication deal (and it would do gangbusters on a network like Comedy Central, or even TBS).

In sum: Happy Endings has a glimmer of hope of surviving through another season. Don’t Trust the B—-, meanwhile, may never air again. If, however, Happy Endings does get the sh*tcan, I’m guessing that it MIGHT be picked up by TBS and paired with Cougar Town next year.

I’m going to miss The Beek.

Pretty sure. Mine is OTA only, don't know if that makes any difference.
Paris... is Sea 2 Ep 8
The Scarlet Neighbor is Sea 2 Ep 9, but I swear it said 10 when I made post 88.

Doesn't really matter. Just oddity I noticed.
Did you mean 9, btw? Because if mine is 9 and yours is 8, that's more oddity. These guides are nuts sometimes.

Mean Girls still has no number in the Tivo info.

I took these pictures this morning. I first looked at the program descriptions/episode numbers back when you first posted about the missing episode number 9.
I notice this morning that in my prior post I said "Scarlet Neighbor" was episode 8 (I'm sure it was). But this morning's pic shows it as episode 10 . . . confused.gif

R.I.P. I'm bummed, but it's not as if we all hadn't seen it coming.

Ah, crap. For all of its foibles, this show still made me laugh week in and week out.
How many times in any sort of show would you see something like that time-lapse scene of June and Chloe coming and going alternating between night and day? Every show wasn't consistently hilarious but there was a consistent imaginative quality to it much as was in Community (and hopefully still will be).

Maybe one of the cable networks could pick it up. It's better than most of the sitcoms Comedy Central runs. And re-runs. And re-runs.

I'm a fan. Hopefully someone else is willing to give it a home.
The show should never have been on network...it really needed a cable home.

LOL. I'd ask about the crazy over at tivocommunity, but they always jump all over people with issues.

Too bad this show is gone. Lots of fun. I love the crazy shows like this and 30 Rock.

Final 'Apartment 23' Episodes to Bow Online
By Lesley Goldberg, The Hollywood Reporter's 'Live Feed' Blog - Apr. 18, 2013

The bitch is back -- online.

ABC has scheduled the eight remaining unaired episodes of sophomore comedy Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 for a May 17 bow on ABC.com, iTunes and Hulu, according to star Krysten Ritter.

The actress, who's currently filming NBC comedy pilot Assistance, took to her Twitter page Wednesday to share the news that the last remaining episodes of the comedy co-starring James Van Der Beek would be released after all.

"Exciting news for all you Don't Trust the B---- in @apt23 fans! On May 17th the remaining episodes will be available on Abc.com, itunes, and hulu! 8 episodes of genus B---- hilarity! Can't wait for you all to see them. I love you." she wrote.

ABC pulled the struggling comedy in January after Apartment 23 and Happy Endings -- which is now airing on Fridays -- were given early end dates in March, a move that was considered a burn-off at the time. Apartment 23 failed to make it that far.

Van Der Beek, meanwhile, has also booked a pilot and will continue to explore comedy with CBS' Friends With Better Lives.
