Anyone in or near Kasas will get the deal of lifetime. I just saw over in the classified section someone has a 65VT50 for sale $2k. To bad im in California. I would have picked it up in a heartbeat.

So I forgot that I had a smart card offer that let me get up to a $50 Best Buy gift card back with a $500+ purchase (highest gc amount they will go) so I thought I would go back to BB and see if they would honor it and give me the $50 gc. Sure enough after a little trouble with the system, the girl had a manager override the price match and instead of giving me a $50 gc they just refunded me another $50 so now I ended up getting the tv for $2449 (before tax). I'm really starting to love my Best Buy smile.gif

Only bad thing is that now I haven't reached the $2500 mark to achieve silver premier level so I guess I will have to go spend another $50 on something else. I bought some pricey headphones from there over a month ago but took them back so I wonder if it removes your points. I think they already offered me a reward certificate for those points as well so I'm not sure how that works. OSUBuck since you are an employee there do you have any idea how returns and points work?

No definitely not lol. Now THAT would be awesome. That is the price before tax but i did get free delivery. Maybe I should clarify that but my original post a page back spells it out. I did get a pair of glasses and Avatar 3D bluray thrown in for that price though.

I just emailed two of my local best buys to see if they will do the price match as zzdog mentioned.

Hoping it will work out! I've decided I want this TV set and told them I will be buying one and it will depend on price on where I go.

Just looked at Paul's TV website and the 65GT is listed at $2999 and maybe lower if you login and add to cart but the 65VT is priced at $3699 - did you buy the 65GT or the VT and if the VT how did you get them to give you a price of $2950 including white glove shipping. I have always purchased from BestBuy to get their warranty but I'm thinking the odds of them going out of business is higher than I'm comfortable with so I was thinking of looking at the costco square trade warranty for $99 since Paul's says they are an authorized dealer.

You really want to get that premiere silver. You get a free ISF calibration of your VT. $250 value if I remember correctly.

I had a 3X multiplier coupon so I got an extra 6000 points (mine was price matched at $2799 plus tax) and those points are $20 per $1000, so I got $180 on my purchase.

It was one of those mailers you get that has a 10% coupon a coupon for something specific like a camera and this one included a 3x multiplier. It was the first one like that I ever received.

Cool. I've never gotten any of those you mentioned though. Can you only use one per purchase or why didn't you use the 10% off instead since that would have taken more off. I figure they probably wouldn't let you use it with the price match?

There wasn't a 10% in this one. But the mailer has three tabs. The other two were basically useless for me at this time.

Again, totally luck I got a 3x points when I was readytopull the trigger on the 65VT50. If you go to the bestbuy forum site you will find these are totally random.

Well i called them up and told them i wanted a ST and how much was that, they told me then i told him how much for the VT and he said 3200, so i fired back and told him if he wanted to sell me the VT for the price of $2950 i will buy right then, so he went back and talked to his manager and thats how i got it at $2950. i think you should tell them you want the 65VT50 for 2800 shipped and if they do that then they have a sale!

Man I was in the hunt for 3D projector since I just sold off my Epson 8350 but was thinking maybe waiting a year. If I can get the 65VT50 for $2599 @ BB I might go for it. Only problem is I need to sell my Kuro PRO-111FD wonder how much I can get for it with 1yr Ex Warranty left on it.

HI,

Does anyone know if EastCoastTVs is a authorized dealer for Panasonic. They had the TV for $2,689 a couple of days ago with a 2% off for Black Friday. Discover was offering me a 5%+2% cashback and an additional $100 for using the card (I have not used the card in a while) bringing the price down to $2,408 which would have been a great deal. I didn't pull the trigger because I was not sure if they were an authorised dealer for Panny's. They are not registered on Panasonic's website

Unfortunately, price on East Coast is back to $2,930

I tried at two different San Diego BBs but no luck with the buytvtoday PM. Has anyone actually purchased this set from buytvtoday? If yes, was the experience positive? Recommend it? The best I could do is $350 off the $3200 "sale" sticker price.

2850 is still a really good deal. BB extended return policy also allows for price adjustments until Jan25th as well. You also will get another 50 or so in reward zone dollars bringing the cost down to 2800. For a 200 difference, you may want to just get it from BB instead of an online retailer that is not well known in case you need to exchange sets for dead pixels, plasma buzz etc. I returned three 65vt50s until I got one with no dead pixels or buzzing.

I just purchased a 60" GT50 for $1899.00 i think that is a great price.

VT55- Too small (i was thinking bigger is better)
VT65- Too big

So are there any legitimate places to get one of these for sub $2800 shipped? I have read the horror stories about nycpowerseller, east coast tvs, etc. My local Best Buy people do not want to deal at all.

Just bought 55 inch. Bestbuy in Miami, price matched buytvtoday price $1625 + tax. Free delivery. Very excited. Waiting for its delivery.

I didn't expect them to match. I asked sales guy. He called the manager. They looked at the site on my phone. Browsed the site on his computer and said yes. It took 5 minutes.

Best buy has been very impressive on price matching these days, I have actually started going there since they price match amazon instantly with no hassle. I get product instantly.

Sometimes the pricing is quite a bit also, they still match it.
