Onkyo TX-NR818 $679 Amazon/Best Buy price $520 off MSRP
Free ISF Calibration Best Buy 249.00 off MSRP
Darby Darblet $100 Forum Member $249 off MSRP
Over $2200 off MSRP, I am pretty happy with that!

Well done. Personally, I'd keep the Darblet away from my VT50, but that's just me.

Well played. Long time reader, fresh poster. I ordered my 65vt50 on Paul's today. Can't wait to get it!

Where are you located? You're not local, correct? How do they deliver? Warranty against defect? Dead pixel?

Bit the bullet and ordered from Paul's TV tonight - the SAVE400 is still valid! Also linked thru Ebates for an additional 2.5% back. Used my Citi Visa card for a 30 day price rollback. Note the terms of this rollback say do not include discount in price match, therefore you have to enter $2999.99. Initial entry already showed a $173 rollback patential ($250/item is the max). Should end up costing $2,285. Paul's TV also has a price guarantee.
May try to go to BestBuy tomorrow to see if I can have them pricematch Sears.com on (4) 3D glasses - haven't bought any yet.

Now to find a deal on an Oppo BDP-103 BR player and a Denon AVR 2313CI receiver - any ideas??????

The VT50 is a great panel. I believe the darblet would degrade the picture. Some like it, but I think it is a bit gimmicky.

Fair enough, I just wanted to make sure it's not going to hurt my TV.

Have you ever personally looked at the difference on your set? Just adds a little but more definition to the picture. I only run mine on 45%, I can see how anything about 60-70 would make the picture look worse. I am happy with mine but can understand that you aren't a fan.

I ordered the 65VT50 tonight from Paul's TV for $2,599.99 - looks like my patience actually paid off for once smile.gif
It had to wait till tomorrow for shipping because of the billing address update we did. New house in NC + new space for a HUGE TV = woohoo biggrin.gif

I'll update once all is said and done for those, who like me, are not in a State where Paul's TV operates stores. The hunt is on for a BB that will price match 3D glasses to the Sears price - wish me luck cool.gif

How'd you get that receiver that cheap on Amazon?

Print out the Sears ad and take it to Best Buy. I was able to get them for the Sears price.
I think that the AVSForum board took out the Sears supply.
For the record, Best Buy matched the Sears pricing. If you don't succeed at one Best Buy, try another one.

Good luck.

I didn't even think about going through Ebates - we use that every time we order diapers & baby clothes. Never even crossed my mind that Paul's would be on the list. mad.gif

Both best Buy and Amazon had the receiver listed at this price. Actually had it ordered from best buy just so I could return it locally if there was any issues.

I'm looking at 16 days from order to delivery from Pauls. I would have bought at BB and paid the tax, but couldn't get any of them to PM under $3k.

I feel lucky...I got the $2599 price match at BBY and their distribution center is 10 minutes from my house. They wanted to deliver next day, but I had to delay it one day. 2 day delivery, local delivery team, perfect panel. Now with about 150 hours on it and looking forward to my calibration next Friday.

Are we seeing the price for 65VT50 is going down? Abe of Maine now has it for $2675.18 (price displayed on the product page), Promo code LOYALTY15 takes $15 off. Also Paul's SAVE400 still works, even though some Paul's representatives claimed it would expire yesterday.
East Coast TVs has it at $2662, plus 2% off with the PAYCHECK coupon for a price of $2608.72

Was able to get BB to PM BTV at $2475 (no luck on the Brandsmart $1999.88), but got shot down on the Sear's glasses price. Tried 2 other locations, same result. All said they will only match in stock prices. One did offer to order them for me at $40, might just take that offer.

Any suggestions for those of us living in Hawaii?
When Amazon dropped their price to 2999, tried to order but wont ship toHI. Anybody had any luck inHI w BB price match/ my experience has been that they realize other suppliers wont ship here, so dont give a good price

Ya I can imagine you would have a lot harder time getting any price matches or deals on a set shipped. I think you are probably just going to have to chalk that up to one of the few negatives of living in paradise wink.gif . I don't think you're going to get much sympathy hehe biggrin.gif

In store price at Best Buy is currently $2899.98. Not sure exactly where you are, but it looks like the Honolulu store currently has them in stock.

That is the sale price in store. You won't need a special quote number or coupon. Also, online price is $3299.98. On certain models Best Buy is restricted from going below a certain price online, even in-cart. That restriction does not exist in the store.
Bestbuy has the 55" for 1699 on sale. I had them price match jr.com at 1627.99, and got a pair of 3d glasses for 29.97 each.
Now is the tough part - convincing the wife.
