I did the same thanks to your post. No problem getting them to PM, just had to have the mgr override. He even commented on how much of a discount it was on Sears.com ($50). I bought 4 pairs and 1 protection plan.


That's a bummer. $40 isn't too shabby either, just make sure to get one protection plan in case one fails.

I had the Sears.com product page pulled up on my iPhone before I entered the store. I just showed them the phone and they agreed. One good thing about the mobile Sears site is that it doesn't show the 'in stock/out of stock' staus if you choose to not enter a Zip Code. I was in the store chatting with the guys after the sale for longer than it took to get the PM taken care of. We were chatting about the upcoming 4K TVs - I told them if they wanted to see one, that Tyson's Corner Mall has one @ the Sony Style store

I tried the same thing (sears.com on iphone) to hide the OOS status, but all three stores went online to check, including the one that PM the BTV price. Can't figure out how people are able to get PM using the printout since it will show OOS on the page.

buytvtoday.com, found the info right here in this thread. I emailed a bunch of BB stores around me asking to match the price on that site. Two stores responded yes, so I went to the closer one.

Went back to BB last night after work to ask for a PM reduction, as they had matched the BuyTVtoday price of $2599 originally on the TV, and Amazon on the 2 pairs of glasses at $60 each on Dec. 10th. Customer Service desk was slammed, but I showed the associate the printed ads, and he did the PM down to the new prices of $2475 and $30 . Walked out with a $199 credit back to the BB card (8% sales tax here)... which lowered the 36 mo/ 0% interest payment by almost $6 .
BTW... to anyone one the fence... this TV is stunning. A week into ownership today... and the couch has never seen so much use.

Anyone ordered from Paulstv outside state, how long before your unit arrived? Mine is taking so LOOOOOONG and i cant wait . Ordered mine on Jan 1 then anticipated delivery date is Jan. 10. Im from same state (CA) but 3.5hrs drive from one of pauls retail store.

Yeah I'm in Buffalo NY, I ordered December 31st and the estimated delivery date is Jan 16th. Hope it doesnt take that long its coming from Mass. which is only a 7 hour drive.

Be careful with buytvtoday.com. Couldn't use as a price match. They are NOT an authorized dealer (even though their site shows they are for Panasonic Direct) and they only take checks or ACH.

As was suggested in this thread pull the page up on your phone (to hide the oos notification). Worked without issue at the Thunderbird and I-17 Best Buy in Phoenix. No questions asked.

They aren't a shop at all. It's a scam site. I went on about this earlier in the thread.

They were created 6months ago, do not accept credit cards, piggy back off another corp's name, have fake office addresses, use stock images of their warehouse...etc etc etc.

God help any of you if you actually order from them.

Best Buy's policy this season (which some follow better than others) is to match online prices of "selected retailers" (there is supposedly a list). 100% Amazon and supposedly Pauls is on the list but they are bad about actually doing it.

Bought the 65VT50 now while BB had the 2899, though my house is under construction, and won't need it for a couple months ill I move back in. The house is cabled w CAT 5, a downstairs room w 7.1, where the 65 in will go. So won't be able to put it thru it's paces till ~ April.
Any suggestion re extended warranty? BB price is steep even for just 2 year($499)

Call BB and tell them to check out eastcoasttvs.com. They will price match that website (currently $2594, the best price on this TV online as far as I can tell) plus its additional 2% off coupon (PAYCHECK). Picked up a 65vt50 today for $2542 plus tax based on that website.

Tucson BB on Broadway (east BB location) price was $2599 with delivery included. Also purchased 4 of the Panny 3D glasses for $29 each and purchased one glasses warranty for $10. Added the Denon AVR 2113CI for $539. Decided I wanted to try the Oppo BDP-103 DVD and added the Roku Streaming Stick for $49 (Oppo 103 purchased direct from Oppo for $499) since I have heard and read so many good things about Oppo's. Ask for Matt Sanchez in Magnolia - Magnolia manager also seems knowledgable and good to work with. Sincere thanks to all on this forum who have contributed to this overall smooth purchasing expe rience. Will likely buy a Square Trade warranty at Costco for $99.

The Warranty for the 3D glasses, was it bought at best buy?

Brought the VT50 at Best Buy $1627.00 They priced match J&R Website. Also Best Buy on 61 street and Broadway had it on sale for $1699.99 Good Luck!
