Also, it maxes out at 1500 worth of purchases for the whole quarter. (so on a 2k set, 1500 @5% 500 @ 1%)

PS for the 2013 year, Best Buy is not listed specifically yet. It's Amazon.com for the Year end quarter and unnamed department stores.

However....this quarter it's drug stores...In previous years gift certificates bought at drug stores counted Haven't tried yet.

Yes, I found this out this morning when I went into Best Buy to get a price match with Adorama. I purchased the 65VT50 from BB on 12/31 for $2499.99. When I went in today to try to get the $100 price difference refunded, the woman helping me called Adorama, and she was told they were out of stock and the VT50 was a discontinued model. BB declined the price match but the manager did give me half the difference back ($50). Not what I was hoping for, but $50 is better then nothing.

Sweet deal! I got them to match also and 3 pairs of 3d glasses with the sears price match of 29.97 with no interest financing for 24 months. At this price I couldn't resist, so my 70" Vizio I bought is going back to Costco

When I moved last August, the apartment into which I moved did not reside inside its own secured building like my previous apartment did (which required a resident to buzz someone into the building first); rather, my apartment door leads directly to the outside. Because of this, I added home security protection, going with ADT. I now have an alarm system for my place. It lowered slightly my annual renter's insurance premium, and it provides peace of mind for me.

You might want to check into something like that as well.

For a much better price. You can also buy a SquareTrade 3 year extended TV warranty through Costo only $99. That's what I did.

Ya I need to do my warranty soon. I'm at 58 days today lol. I have had some IR though so I was waiting as long as possible to see if I was going to swap the TV out. Does anyone know how the warranty works if I were to swap the TV out with Best Buy? I have until the 24th to return/exchange with Best Buy. I would have a different serial number then...

Since I got bestbuy to match the adorama price, now looking at the warranty it shows 2500-2999, since the tv was 2399 should I go back and ask for some money back on the warranty? Just curious what people think as the warranty was 599 and I think this would drop it to around 450 or so. Let me know and thanks.

I would try but I have a feeling it has to do with replacement cost or what it was listed for in store. Not sure though. I would definitely go ask though

They should adjust this for you. The price range on the plan should match up with price you paid. Was the PM done after the initial purchase and warranty were rung up? If so, that explains why as the register does not automatically adjust the warranty price. Just a limitation of the software.

As long as you bought your TV from an authorized dealer, you can get the Square Trade warranty through Costco. That is what I did for yesterday's purchase from Best Buy.

Does anyone think we'll see prices go lower than Adorama's $2399? I bought my 65VT50 at Best Buy in early December with the BuyTVToday $2599 price match. I feel confident that I can get them to match the lower Adorama price and I only have 10 days left in my price matching window.

Honestly I highly doubt it as it has been speculated that the actual cost to stores like Best Buy is around that.

I bought a warranty from Chris at Cleveland Plasma - it's an additional four years beyond the factory warranty, for a total of five years.

I just went to Best Buy's site to read up on the price matching policy again, and it has now been updated to say they do not price match any online retailers. Looks like that window of opportunity has closed, but I'm pretty sure they will still honor price matches through January 24 for any purchases made during the holiday "extended" price matching time period.

It does still qualify. The wording is a little strange. Suffice it to say, if a product has the "low price guarantee" logo on the product page on bestbuy.com, it is still covered under the online price-match guarantee. Adorama, technically, does not fall under this policy, so YMMV.

I just got home and Best Buy was no problem PM'd Adorama ans Sears for the glasses.

Went in with a smile and came out with a smile  $$$$

About the Square Trade warranty I am pretty sure they do not cover image burn in like the best buy geek squad warranty does
So if IR is a concern for you maybe the BB warranty is a better option

Hey everyone, thanks for all the posts here. I was watching this site for a while, and finally pulled the trigger! Not that this is an amazing deal, but I haven't read any posts of people matching in this area so I wanted to add that Best Buy will PM in Rochester NY. They would not match buytvtoday (understandable given the shadiness of the site haha... the problem was that you couldn't pay with anything buy wire transfer or cheque) but they were fine with powersellernyc and eastcoasttvs. I ended up matching at about $2650, final after tax was $2850. Plus 5% cash back with Chase and BB, $55 back in BB rewards zone money, plus about $110 additional cash back from Chase. My experience was very good there, no problems matching, and someone there even showed me how they determine yes/no on price matches -- I got to see BB's at cost price, but promised not to tell anyone so I will keep my word. Knowing this, I have no problem paying what I did for the TV.

I actually bought it a month ago but had an insane work schedule and didn't have a day off until Saturday, so I've only had it for a few days... but boy is it sexy. Running the break-in slides as we speak...
