Here is a typo at $1249.97 for a 55VT50, given the dubious nature of pcgamesi I'm certain they won't honor the price.

just for fun I tried purchasing one, with the intention of using PayPal (which has excellent buyer protection) and it wouldn't even let me pay... :-( At that price you could turn a profit!

I can't even find any info on pcgamesi or a single testimonial from anyone who has ordered from them. They seem to have good prices but I can't figure out how legit they are.

1249 is waaay below typical dealer cost for a vt50. Probably a scam site trying to harvest your info.

They're a scam. They had a 50UT50 on sale for $500 just last week. They are NOT legit, buyers beware.

Paid $3589.99 at my local BB store the TC-P65VT50 and and the set is being delivered on Wednesday.

Buying one for 65" VT50 $3,358+tax (includes shipping) from a brick and mortor in my home town (suburbs of Vancouver, Canada). PM if you want details - don't want to blow the deal before I pay.

After tax, they are pretty much a wash. When I talked to bestbuy they said that the 2199 runs through may 12. I wonder will it go back up to the 2499. Are you looking at getting the 55? I have a krp 500m in the living room and as much as I want to go up in size, the pq is so good, it makes it really hard to pull the trigger.

I currently have a calibrated 55" VT30 and am not 'actively' looking to replace it but if I can find a VT50 for a decent price I might bite...if I had a 500M I would keep it...I don't think the VT50 is better...I would wait for the upcoming OLED's or the 2nd generation Sharp Elite's

but if you're looking for a 'bigger' TV then maybe the 65" VT50 would be a good choice...still would be a tough choice for me though
