That is from one of their sellers; not them directly.

They have a seller selling it for $3199.95.

I got mine from amazon for 3300 plus ship no tax and signed up for the slickdeals chase rewards card that is giving away free $500 amazon gift cards with first purchase and you can close after you receive them, so mine was around 2800 shipped.

FYI Forum member "A. V. O." avoaustin.com is selling this set for $$3195.00 This is the cheapest I have seen from a seller, and it's who I got my set from. I paid sat and it was delivered monday. The tv arrived great, and we even tested it out to make sure nothing was wrong with it at all. Contact them directly, they have them in stock.

With prices already dropping just weeks after release, what do you think the price could be in October?
They will be lower by then for sure.

There are all kinds of good deals out there when you open a new card. 2 round trip airline tickets from American Express Business Card division. Citi Cards is offer $250 Cash back. Those are nice deals

Yea I absolutely love my chase card. I signed up when it had the $300.00 cash bonus and also had 5% cashback from Amazon purchases (Jan-Mar). Hopefully next year they will do Amazon again at the beginning of the year and I will be purchasing a VT50 then when prices are really cheap although Best Buy will be 5% during Oct-Dec so maybe a Black Friday/Christmas deal. For now I just bought the 60ST50 so that should tide me over for a little while.

Sorry to ask again, but your link goes to a huge list of cards at nerdwallet.

Can you be more specific?

sure, this is what you do. You sign up for a chase southwest rewards card (right now they are offering a free flight or 50k points, which can be cashed in for amazon gift cards). After your first purchase (I think you may have to pay an annual fee of 75$ I cant remember now) they put the points into your southwest rapid rewards account, and from there you can cash them out for gift cards. The whole thing takes about 3 weeks to do.

The 50k thing may be over now though, now that I see that link, it lists it as only 25k. Thats about 250$ in amazon gift cards.

I struck out trying to get my local Best Buy ( San Jose) to go lower than than MFRG price of 2499 on a 55 inch VT50. Fortunately, I read your post and contacted Joe at AVO Austin earlier today .......5/23

My full cost delivered was 2150. Transaction was done securely through pay pal so no worries. Joe was prompt at returning emails and phone calls. He explained the delivery inspection process throughly. Shipment is supposed to go out Friday and take 5 days with tracking number to be provided.

This makes no sense as the in store price is 2200 bucks. It is important to look at their return policy as well. Personally, the only online retailer I purchase from is Amazon because of their return policy. If I end up with a defective set, I don't have to worry about and can exchange it for another one.

AVO has been posting in the threads here on AVS. Is he a forum sponsor? He does denote that he is in the business in his sig. If he isn't, don't think that is fair to forum sponsors.

I think if his Magnolia is a stand alone store or a Design Center, pricing may be different. These stores keep separate inventory, carry different products, and are run as independent retailers from the more common Magnolia Home Theater stores integrated into many Best Buys. They carry higher-end products than you would normally find in a standard Magnolia, e.g. brands like McIntosh, Arcam, (soon) Runco, Sonus Faber, etc.

If that's the case, then ask them to check current selling price at a store with a Magnolia Home Theater and I'd assume it should be an easy match.

I pulled the trigger on a P65VT50 from Cleveland Plasma on Tuesday. Chris has been great to deal with. If I didn't have to work, I would be able to take delivery today! Because of my schedule, I'm going to have to wait until Wednesday. Waiting is the hardest part.

Is the holiday special going to apply to all models and retailers or only a select few?

There are no Panasonic holiday promos for this set right now. Any discounts that resellers are giving for Memorial Day are out of their own pocket. Hope this answers your question.
