What exactly did you ask for when you called and claimed your prior GT50 purchase?
I'm not sure if it has to do with their price guarantee, but quite simply, I sent them an email stating the following;
"Hi,
I recently placed an order for this Panasonic TV, which I now notice had been part of a "Get a Free Blu-ray Player with the Purchase of a Qualifying Panasonic VIERA HDTV" promotion which includes a free 3D Blu-Ray player with the order, as shown here;

The TV has shipped already and I've scheduled delivery, but can the promotion still be applied?"
...and I got a long winded response the next morning outlining the details of the promotion (a copy/paste job), but at the end it said;
"However, as an one time exception. I would like to offer you to place a separate order for "3D Blu-Ray player" and let us know the order number, We'll issue a full refund for the amount."
So I placed the order, emailed them my order number and they said the refund would be requested and processed to my credit card. I was surprised that it was that simple. Under my order status it says the refund is currently processing, but I received it in writing from Amazon that I would be, so I think it's safe to say it'll go through. I would say it's worth a shot sending them an email.
