I notice this odd banding of colour at the top of the screen:

I'm not really that pissed, I did see it at the store but thought it was part of the promo bluray they had showing on it.
It's only noticeable with lighter backgrounds, and like I say I'm not that mad. I paid $200 for the TV all in, and most 16:9 content will have the crop bars at top and bottom.
My question is this: what would cause this? This happens regardless of the source input, or the content being played.
My first instinct is that this is related in some way to the colour wheel, or perhaps the sign of the bulb beginning to fail before the unit senses the bulb needs replacing.
All in all, I'm quite content with it as it is for the price paid. Beats the hell out of my 40" Bravia LCD, simply because it fills out the entertainment centre a lot better.
