I checked LG PA75C:

- 1450-1200 USD, 9000-7300 CNY
- wireless DLNA and Intel Widi
- built in Tuner DVB-C
- video on demand
- different remote
- same hardware and lens

It overpriced well.

Hopefully LG will get their act together and fix the focus problem with the new model.

It sounds like a nice unit, wifi , smart internet for surfing the web, tv tuner, 2 remotes.

It is 1,100 dollars in exchange currency with china.

Do you think it will reach fry's in march 2013? For 499 or 399?

This would be an all in one device, tv, internet, wifi, PJ! Killer PJ if it works. smile.gif
post #995 of 2305
I highly doubt that frys will drop the price on this unit if it ever comes to the US. But hey what do I know.
I will just take the luck that I have and settle with the PA70g for now and if the PA75U ever drops to 399, I will just pick it up and sell my old PA70g projector. I can definately resell it for at least 400 on craigslist
post #996 of 2305
I will definitely buy the PA75 if it shows up in the US even if it has less than perfect focus, does anyone know if tv tuners in china are compatible with US broadcasts?
Just found this, I know Korea tuners are US compatible, I'm more hopeful now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-LG-PA75K-LED-Mini-Beam-Projector-700-ANSI-Smart-TV-Content-Free-Shipping-/320971316263

For those of you that have this projector mounted to your ceiling, what projector mount did you use?

Thanks,
Brandon
I've put in my PA70G one monthly salary.About 547 €.And I am very happy. In the USA are certainly bigger than salaries for us in Slovakia. And I don't regret buying a projector. Some would prefer shopping around for free.

$ 28 that's not a bad price for what it looks like a pretty strong projector mount.
I seen securtity cam mounts there on Amazon for $ 6 but has limited swivel angles.
How long will that sale price be available ?
For $ 399 what the heck I might even buy it.
I did notice that they have shipping available and not like the last time where it was just in store only sale.
I was wondering if any one knows if this sale price is only for in store pick up ? or is that price available for anyone who does not live near a FRYS store ?
the sale is for everyone. i live in toronto and got it shipped to me. i will say for the.price its worth it. i.had.the qumi q2 ans upgraded to this with no complaints.

That mount is available at Monoprice for even less than that price (and it comes in white or black).

Here is my basic 3D configuration to everybody for future reference (Ultrabook 12watts), which is good for 3D 1080p films experience:
############ 3D Configuration ############
PC Ultrabook:
- Intel ultra low voltage SU3500 1.4ghz single core CPU (5 watts)
- AMD Radeon 4330 GPU (7 watts)
- Windows 8 with default Radeon driver
Screen:
- 100" white/silver sun block plastic roll (15 USD)
- LG PA70G 3D projector through VGA in 1280x768x120hz
Sound:
- Built in speakers in LG PA70G projector
* Ultrabook 3.5mm audio out connected to projector 3.5 mm audio in (AV in) by cable
Codecs:
- Window 8 Codecs with LAV decoder
- LAV decoder configured:
* decode Xvid/Divx/Mp4v/Avi/Mkv/H.264/AVC
* use hardware decoder (Radeon) DXVA2 Copy Back method
Player:
- Stereoscopic player, configured:
* use LAV decoder for Mpeg4/AVC/MVC videos
* viewing method by Software page flipping
3D Active Glasses:
- FX-30 Universal active glasses (23 USD)
* bright, light weight, rechargeable, Left/Right control, auto off.
##########################################
I have no issues with this configuration, it is fine 3D picture quality and good for any 3D 1080p AVI/MKV/MP4 films. smile.gif
Keywords: VGA, 1280x768@120hz, DXVA2 Copy Back, Software Page flipping, Active glasses Left/Right control.
I'm testing it right now, 120hz only works in 1024x768 on VGA

You are wrong and missed something. 3D works on LG PA70G through VGA at
- 1280x720 and 1280x768 @120HZ resolutions without any issue.

You have to use custom 120hz resolution, or my custom monitor.inf file, what I posted earlier. I made a quick shoot, only the uploaded photo is blurred and bad quality, thanks the phone, but not the real one.

I am seriously thinking to deploy a new style LED HD 3D lighthouse.

are we going to see next year from LG 1080p LED - let say with 800 lumens
price of -$1000

coz 720p is like no more to go better then pa70g ( i mean it will be like bad marketing 720p with different name and close specs without having 1080p in )
may low end 1080p LED price of -$1000 range !!!!!
or why not jump to laser !!!!
its the time to ........

guys what do you think biggrin.gif

@Tataniko "You are wrong and missed something. 3D works on LG PA70G through VGA at

I could not get my PA70G to display 120Hz in VGA or HDMI at 1280.

The picture that I downloaded DO NOT indicate that you did either.

Please use the info button (centre button in the round dial) to show the ACTUAL frequency and scan rate of the display.

That shows what the projector is displaying (not what you are sending it). For example sending it a 1080 picture does not make it a 1080 projector.

guys what do you think biggrin.gif

I think it's still going to be pretty expensive, here is mostly what we have to look forward to Link.

BenQ, has that 720p laser projector, but it's going to be a few years at least before the price comes down.

BenQ Laser LW61ST, BenQ Laser LX60ST around $1800.

Hey guys! I got this projector back in November and i have to say i absolutely fell in love with it. I think i must have gotten lucky with this projector because the focus is just perfect and my projector was manufactured in June.

I have a really important question to ask you guys.. I want to use this projector outdoors but the bad thing is that it has to be connected and it doesn't come with a built in battery supply. Do any of you use this outside? what do you guys use to power the projector instead of just plugging it in.

Hopefully some of you can help me out here. I live in the US if that helps out.

i have LG PA70G LED last 2 weeks ( just to go on )
iam not that happy - its OK with movies but not with games and text
just waiting 1080p high end led/laser or 4k under $5k ( i think 2016 will be fordable )

next year if i could get 1080p led/laser mid range like -$1.5k i will go for it ..... until then !!!

laser tech is easier ( no focusing issue and cheaper ) but the tech expense not the materials it self !!!!

anyways lets wait and see when competition rises 2013 biggrin.gif

@tataniko. Did you use the info button on the projector to confirm what you are posting? Did the projector show the resolutions AND scan frequencies at the top of the display?
