I guess nobody likes this show, but I thought this last episode was awesome.

Hahaha that Shoshanna certainly like to be bottomless a lot.. running around with no skirt on the street after smoking crack and giving her "crack spirit guide" a crotch massage..

Hannah surely gives no attention of how she dresses up.. I mean..

Why is Marnie crying about her ex-boyfriend.. move the f... on, not as she's ugly and can't get anyone else, she's smoking hot and beautiful...

LOL at Jessa got her boss beaten up...

I agree about Marnie, but these characters don't always act logically or in their own best interests, which I guess is a main point of the show. Great episode, and all in all awesome night on HBO.

This episode was hilarious.

Somewhat uneven so far. Granted, I had high expectations. But, great episode last night and there have been a couple of excellent episodes during the season. I wouldn't worry too much about the feedback in this thread. I'm not sure if this is the type of show that would appeal to most of avs.

While I agree that her reaction was illogical and didnt make sense... it is exactly how a self centered girl like that would react. I have seen this happen many times, in fact, I have been the guy on the couch listening to them complain because I was an idiot. Unfortunately, I never got up and left mid sentence. I should have, but didnt. Bearded extra, you are my hero.

This was a great episode and proved my point that Hannah is the least interesting person of the group; however, her smile at the end of the episode was just perfect. Glad the character of Adam finally has some depth.

Good episode last night.

That wealthy guy was crazy. How she spilled wine on his $10,000 rug.

Adam is cool

He wasn't crazy. He was just frustrated and impatient.

Like way too many young guys, he didn't know to just be patient and to wait for things to happen. (I've been there myself. Opened my mouth and ruined many fantastic opportunities for STD's and illegitimate children. On second thought, maybe he unknowingly did himself a favor!)

I couldn't place the actor playing the venture capitalist but knew I'd seen him in a series and movies before. No wonder, Chris O'Dowd ("The IT Crowd") was doing an American accent which I don't think I've ever heard him do.

This week's episode I ended up watching on my Iphone while on the bus going to work.
THe first half or so was incredibly disjointed. It just jumped from scene to scene to scene. The last 10 minutes was just one scene if I remember. Can't both girls just agree they're just awful and be done with it?
The finale I caught on the TV. A little amateurish
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Jessa got married,Shoshanna gets laid, Marnie just goes home with someone, and Hannah gets into an argument with Adam who was ready to commit and movie in and loses him and her pocketbook. SPOILER]

IMO the ending was written with the intention of being cancelled. however i will still watch season 2[/

Not need to hide (already aired)..

Yeah Jessa being married really surprised me specially marrying that guy.. LOL

Too bad for Hannah and Adam, finally they were getting closer together and bam!

I wish I was that guy with Marnie though.. lucky!
Poor Hannah. Adam was pretty on point though.

This season had its ups and downs, but I will definetly be sticking around for next season.

Why is Marnie the one moving out? Isn't she the one with a job and paying the rent?

The Jessa thing? WTF? I know they're supposed to be young and impulsive and what have you, but WTF?
Yeah I know, HUGE logic dump there. And it could all be easily fixed with a simple "Hannah is on the lease" explanation, but I have grown not to expect that from this show. At best this is a series of entertaining stories that are completely separate from one another.

Which makes it very "millennial generation". biggrin.gif

For me, Zosia Mamet, is so fugly she is painful to look at.

I only watched the first episode so far. It was NOT good. I will watch a couple more to see if it gets significantly better.

ROFL, it got nominated for an Emmy, guess they REALLY needed to round out the field.
I agree. In no way should Girls nor Lena be nominated for an emmy. What a crock. Parks and Recs should have gotten the nod over this average at best show.
hmm, watched 3.25 episodes to give it a shot ... yuk. Not funny, terrible acting, stupid situations. Sex is used as the only point of interest in the show. Characters are pathetic.

Veep is dang near un-watchable as a show, but at least it has funny stuff in it. Girls doesn't even have funny stuff.

Great show. I immediately dismissed the pilot as shallow, but recently watched the rest of the season glued to every second. So much hilarious material.

Lena Dunham is the new Tina Fey.

I happened to be visiting my sister this week, and lo and behold a DVD of "Tiny Furniture" arrived. She'd put it in her NF queue on the basis of positive reviews (at least from the critics). Since I'd enjoyed the first season of "Girls" I looked forward to watching this movie, especially after seeing the opening credits and that Merritt Dever (from "Nurse Jackie") was in it.

Dreadful. And Merritt Dever had a useless bit-part.

My sister finally stood up after 1/2 of it and said "This is beyond seriously weird, and it's also not entertaining. Is it supposed to be a comedy? Good night." And she left.

I stuck with the whole film, but the hoped-for enjoyment did not get there for me either.

I recommend that people NOT waste any time watching this movie.

Different strokes, I suppose. I loved "Tiny Furniture." I thought the first season of Girls was uneven, somewhat hit and miss, but when it hit, it was very good.

I would recommend "Tiny Furniture," very highly.

heh, for sure on the different strokes .. we quit watching Tiny Furniture about 1/3 the way through. I've already given my Girls opinion. If I'd have known it was from the person who did Tiny Furniture, I wouldn't have wasted a few hours watching that dismal wreck.

Season 2 of Girls will start on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 9:00 PM CST.

Looking forward to some of the relationships featured. Adam is an interesting guy of course. Then the dorky and nerdy (but pretty) Shoshanna. eek.gif

Boy, Sunday the 13th will be a great time for Showtime and HBO programming. Can't wait for everything to be back (more of a Showtime kind of guy though.)

Wow. I guess they decided to hit the critics that decry the shows lack of diversity in the first five minutes! eek.gif

Thank you, Miss Williams, for the side boob. biggrin.gif

Just caught the season premier. It was OK. I have too much TV to watch, and "girls" is on the lower end of things tongue.gif
