Hey guys. I'm still pretty new here but i love what I see! I've got a question for you pro's...
I'm currently in the process of designing a house plan with a builder and am planning to include a theater space in the basement under the kitchen. Right now, i have a 16'x16' room spec'd but after talking with the builder, I could extend that area and make it something closer to 16'x28' (3 sides surrounded by concrete). This change would cost me about $12,500. My question is would this be a worthwhile expense? or would a smaller square room be fine and I would be better putting that money toward speakers/video or other?
I should add that my goal for either size room would be an entirely dedicated room for movies on the big screen with false wall/sound isolation/tiered seating etc... I have a limit of course to what I can spend though, but I want to make sure i do it right. Thanks in advance.
