ive made many posts about how much i didnt want surround sound, but then my fiance did so i ditched my integrated amp idea and got an avr. i was very happy with my pioneer elite vsx30 (which broke less than a week of having). tonight i purchased an open box denon 2808ci thats still at the best buy, i was happy but i just felt like it was ridiculous.
i decided im gonna let her do what she wants with the surround sound (she has a stupid sony htib dvd and a standalone blu ray hooked up to it, its fine for me) and im gonna do what i want for the stereo.
so i went on trusty ol' ebay and started looking for a integrated amp or receiver i could power 2 speakers (no sub) off of for music. i found a marantz 1530 that was fixed up (seller on ebay sells all marantz parts for old stuff so it seems like he has an idea of what he is doing...either way we will find out). I jumped right on it.
ill be sure to let you know how it sounds when i get it. i really want something like a marantz 1030 or 60.
