Probably because you started yet another "which TV should I buy" thread.

There are several threads already started, that have the information you seek. You will find more info faster by using the search function.

For example:

Hopefully this thread will cut down on new thread creation and make the main forum focused on specific topics (other than "what LCD should I buy?").

Even though this thread may get long, it's still the place to ask questions about what LCD to buy even though the answer may be buried somewhere earlier.

You can't go wrong with either of those LG sets. They'll be your best choice among passives but you might also consider the LM6700 or 6200 series too. There probably isn't a night and day difference. It depends on your budget. If you can afford the higher end sets by all means go for it. Have you been to any stores and tried to compare for yourself? Is 55" the right size? 65" might be nice as well. I personally own a 62" Toshiba DLP (circa 2004) and am going to purchase either the 65LM6200 or the 65LW6500 depending on which one ends up being the better deal. I couldn't go down in size after owning a larger set. LG passive sets are dynamite 2d and 3d PQ and the 3d is 2nd to none. The newer sets also feature a resolution upscaler and WiDi support as well as a supposedly improved 2d to 3d conversion. Good luck with your search!

Just got the 65LM6200 couple of weeks ago. Absolutely love it. Great Passive 3D set. Picture is awesome! Got it at Amazon pricematched Pauls TV. Great Deal.

I picked up the 65LM6200 last night at HH Gregg's for $2450, which in total (warranty and all) ended up at about $250 higher than what I would have gotten an 65LW6500 package for so I felt it was worth the extra money. I wasn't going to pay an extra $700 for this year's extra features but for $250 I was onboard. Hopefully this year's model ends up being as good or better than the LW6500. I wrestled with which one to buy and if I wasn't able to get under $2500 for the LM6200 I was going to go with the LW6500. I LOVE the LM6200. The picture is amazing and the 3d is awesome as well. I really like the 2d to 3d too. It adds alot to most programming. I think this year's model is supposed to have an improved 2d to 3d engine. It features the Triple XD engine vs last year's XD engine. LG support told me that means 3 processors instead of one which is usually a good thing. Now, if we can only find out how to access the service menu! I am going to try programming my Harmony tonight and see if the procedure for the LW6500 works on the LM6200.
