Will give that a try, is dE76 is the reason why its giving me a large errors? I max out my red and blue (100) still can't get luminance up close to zero. Is this means my contrast is too high? I'm thinking my I1D2 isn't up to its job to do CMS calibration. I'm thinking about buying I1Display Pro from newegg.

So the article is saying that, to lower the saturation (ChartC) you have to up the other color. Lets say blue is Over saturated, you up red and green to de-saturates it.

"According to CIE94, reducing the brightness of an oversaturated green (the effect is similar for red) is a counterproductive method for reducing color error. In contrast the 1976 color difference formulas (CIELAB or CIELUV) predict that reducing brightness from an oversaturated sample 35% lowers ΔE by approximately 31%. However, CIE94 predicts that reducing color brightness this much for the same color nearly doubles the color difference!"

basically, you can't fix saturation errors by changing luminance and dE94 takes that into account

dE76 would have you believe otherwise, which is wrong

I think i just found something interesting. From all those Gamut data I've posted. I was using Windows for measuring. Now I just pull up APL instead. Blue isn't over-saturate any more. I'll reset my color space and post up, Window, APL, and Fullscreen measurements. I wonder if this has anything to do with it.

Update: I uploaded the measurements, which one should I use to do my gamut?

I'd just use full screen patterns (full fields). However, the full fields and APL defaults appear to measure the same.

BTW, are you using the large or small APL patterns?

Large apl, assuming small is the one on the far right. I'll redo all my calibration tonight after work.

Update: I went ahead and recalibrate my TV with Full Screen patterns (FIELD) files are attached.

Also included pictures from ironman 2 my iPhone camera sucks so... The picture looks better in real life, but to prove the point one is calibrated with windows and one is full screen ( FIELD )

Notice the contrast from windows image is high. This explains why my eye was hurting and getting headache, while I'm watching my TV. With Fullscreen calibration I don't get eye strain or headache any more.
