Sure, the reason why I didn't include the others was because the science-part wasn't driving the movie.
E.g. if you take Armageddon, yes there are science parts in regard to the event of having an astroid crashing into the earth but everything else is just an actionflick with lots of humour mixed into it.

The Core starts of from how birds navigate, how pacemakers might get messed up, to what happens if the earth magnetic field goes away (by the way one of the most funniest scenes is when they demonstrate this in front of the panel

), then how that magnetic field is believed to be generated and so forth, there is a lot more attempts to trying to make it more scientific rather than fiction, the fiction part is the journey to "restart" the magnetic field.
And no I wouldn't include The Day After Tomorrow in the "good" category either but again in the "guilty pleasure" category.
I don't mind The Core either (as I already stated) but it's not a great movie either.
