Hi fellas, this is gonna be my first home theater system and Im lost :P, Im planning on getting the panasonic AE7000U as a projector ( if there is anything better for that price range please do recommend ) and Im not sure what screen size to get, the demensions of the room is as follows:

length:26.25 feet
width:23.3 feet
hight :9.8 feet
wall where screen is gonna be:13 feet ( of usable space its actually 16.4 feet)

seating distance from screen: 15-16 feet depending on ur recommendation

and I have alot of light since this is my living room, and I have huge windows for the balcony, I put dark shutters but I still have some light shining through soo I cant control that part of my setup.

any help would be much apreciated for screen size and the type of screen I should get for lets call it ambient light situations :P

cheers,
manaf

forgot to mention that it has to be motorized as it will drop down and cover the tv for when we want to use it

Can you take a picture of the room? Are you planning on going with a 2.35 screen or 16:9 screen? Also what do you want to use the projector for, as in movies, sports and or 3D? Note that in best image mode (mode that most people use) the Panny has about half the light output as most of the others in this price range. With that size viewing distance, I would go with a fairly large screen or move the viewing distance forward. 15' is pretty close to the middle of the room. Worst place to be listening to, sound wise. I would move forward some. If we can help you, shoot us an email.

Great looking place, but difficult acoustically with the tile, and projection-wise with all the windows. Maybe Black Diamond is called for here?

Not in the material that you need. In electric screens, you could look at a Da-Lite Tensioned Cosmopolitan Electro with 1.1 gain High Contrast Matte White screen. http://www.da-lite.com/products/prod...?cID=29&pID=39 I would go with the 110" diagonal 16:9 size. 3D is limiting your size. If not for 3D, I would have recommended 119". Please give us a call for farther discussion.
