You are correct regarding Disney films. I just hope the make some more quickly. I can only watch the Lion King so many times.
Based off of my own camera skills , I assume just about everything looks better in person than pics convey , since they look good and comfy in the pics , I bumped that up 20% . I feel you on the footrests on recliners , thats why my couch doesn't have them . I'm 6'4" and its mostly in my legs so its rare to find a recliner that's comfortable for more than a minute or two, luckily I live alone and I'm anti-social so I end up draped across my 7' couch when watching .
I saw in your progress pic that the columns are lighter than the paneling on the walls , I can't tell if they are finished , is that your color scheme ? I hope I'm not trampling on your plan , but I like the look , those two wood tones look really good together .
I worked in a Disney retail store for about a year in highschool , they constantly played a looped video of Disney "music videos" so I can sympathize with you watching the Lion King over and over.
