Hi guys. I haven't forgotten anyone
For consideration for promotion to Colonel I need to knock out ILE (military training). I understand that for regular line officers it would be important but for the life of me, as a physician, I have no idea why I need to know how to plan a large scale invasion.
None of this stuff is straight forward or common sense based so I'm working myself to death to get all of it done. All my spare time is gone. My time with the kids is largely gone. I can't wait until it's all done!
As a result, work on the theater has taken a hit.
Still, some things have progressed. Control4 has been installed and two full days have been spent at my house tinkering and tweeking things to get the effect just right. Until the star ceiling is done the final tweeks cannot occur.
Additionally, my sheets of 4 x 10 Ultralight MDF have arrived and will be delivered this week. My dad is coming to visit and agreed to give a helping hand. Although he isn't the invincible young guy who could build a house by himself in a day anymore, his assistance on this project gives me confidence that it will turn out amazing.
I was also able to get some wiring done so my amps all get the 12v trigger but I had to do a bit of cutting and splicing to make it all work. On the down side, my Bryston 6B sst2 middle channle amp went dead. Now I have to ship that heavy beast to Vermont. The shipping is going to cost me an arm and leg.
I talked to one of the guys there and I have the option of just sending the middle module which I might do but I need to use a lot of cushion in the shipment so no damage occurs.
I have next week off so a bunch of work on the house will get done (as well as the theater). Edited by psychdoc - 12/16/13 at 11:25pm
