Recommend speakers for me 1000 budget.

I'm looking to get a new 5.1 setup. I currently have JBL S312 ll as fronts with matching center & surrounds. I will be moving this system to the basement. They sound "ok" but at loud volume they are harsh and become fatiguing. I'd like something with a more neutral/warm sound, especially at higher volume. I would like some recommendations for floor standing speakers to audition. Budget will be $1000 for front, center, surrounds. Whichever floorstanders i choose, I'll buy the matching center/surrounds. I will use them for home theater but want them to sound better for music first. I listen to country, mainstream rock, classic rock, and very seldom pop/r&b/hip hop. Receiver will be a Denon 1912 & sub Outlaw LFM plus. Room size is 14 x 14.

Floorstanders limit your options in this price range significantly

Arx A3, A2, and A1B. Pretty hard to beat.

I will definitely check out the Arx A3. How is the bass with Arx? I've also read a little about the Infinity Primus. Any opinions on those?

Arx A3 has really strong bass 47hrz +/- 3db. Not really deep bass but has strong midbass punch, does good with drum bass kick.

Check out the Ascend Acoustics CMT-340SE series. Not floorstanders, but tall speakers with two 6.5" drivers and a tweeter that can be purchased with matching stands (see the picture on the home page). Nice thing about them is that they have an exact matching center tweaked for horizontal placement, a plus for creating a smooth front sound stage for HT usage.
