Panasonic ST50 Deals - Page 8

Will BB match all model prices from Paul's TV? I'm interested in the 55"...if so would it be safe to assume that I can walk out of BB with a 55st50 for $1250 + TAX???

That's hard to beat at a local brick/mortar that allows you 30 days to bring it back no questions asked and no re-stock fee.......

Well right BestBuy has the 55ST50 for $1299 so almost close to matching Paul's TV price.

Do you guys think the 55" will go ANY lower before the Black Friday/Holiday season? My guess is prices will go up a bit after the olympics begin (and/or) end. They start on Friday.

$1250 is the lowest I've ever seen since this TV came to market...

I just noticed this too. I spent $999 shipped on the 50". I am in NY so I would pay tax through the EPP, totaling: $1,169.22

I am perfectly happy saving ~$170 and sacrificing 5".

I am pretty sure they do, I just went in and pulled up the pauls tv website on their computer and added it to my cart and they saw the price and said ok. that was a plus for me too, having a place local to where i can go take it if something happens during shipping or whatever. i might have them calibrate it too.

I may end up pulling the trigger and getting the 50" from Pauls though for only $170 I could get the 55". Decisions decisions but also curious as the return policy through Panasonic just in case I get a bad unit.

5" for only $170 is a great deal imo. remember, the bigger the tv, the more each inch has an effect on the total surface area. it is not a linear relationship. an extra inch on a 50" tv adds a lot more surface area then an inch on a 32" tv. imo.

I just purchase a 60ST50 from Pauls TV from John. Great guy so far in all communication. I will let the forum know how it goes but I don't expect to have the same experience. John price matched ABC Warehouse at $1479 with Free shipping. He also mentioned they stopped using AIT for shipping and have upgraded their shipping vendor. Stay tuned.

Used the advice from an earlier post and bought the 60" ST50 from Amazon and used the price match of 1499 for Paul's TV.

Called Amazon immediately after purchase, spent about 5 minutes on the phone and should see the refund on my card in the next 1-2 business days. Has been a super easy process to this point and I will update if I run into any issues.

I feel like the flexibility and ease of amazon shipping would be worth the few extra minutes on the phone. Hopefully all goes well from here on in.

WHO HAS DEALT WITH EPP BEFORE? About to pull the trigger on the st50 on there, would really appreciate any info/reviews about them. Thanks.

Is the coupon code for Tiger Direct still valid? I checked with it yesterday and could not get the $1999 deal (it was $2599).

^^Nevermind they are backordered on st50's and I havent read one positive thing about them. $1075, even with tax is a wonderful price on the 55 though.

ive read many, many positive things about them, care to share where you see these very negative reviews?

Just got the call from Jet Transportation (The delivery company used for this delivery), my 55" is due for delivery on Friday. When I asked for a more specific time than just "Friday", I was told I could call back Thursday night as that's when the TV will be loaded on the truck. So then I ask can you at least give me a ballpark?..."Between 8am and 8pm, you can call back on Thursday night and they should be able to let you know if AM or PM".

Wow, I thought the 4 hour windows that the cable company gives were bad!

I've also been promised by 2 different reps at PaulsTV that they were going to send me emails with the details of my refunds/chargebacks, to which I've not received any. There's still a couple of days before it's all said and done, so everything can and should still be fine...We'll see.

When did you place your order and where do you live? I'm just curious on how long your shipment is taking... Paul's is using Home Direct USA for my shipment. I ordered on 07/22, got a tracking number yesterday, Home Direct says Anticipated delivery is 08/02! WTF?

I called and I guess thats a gross estimate and they should have my TV in the local terminal by tomorrow. I am hoping for delivery tomorrow, but Friday is probably more realistic.

Bought my 65" from Amazon on 7/3. Delivered 7/6 (with 4 hour window). Obviously with holiday in between. Although I may have paid $100 more than lowest price since then of 1997 or so (just missed 14 day price match), Amazon's delivery and customer service were more than worth it. Realize this is not news to anyone.

I am in need of a media console as well. Wife and I went to PB and we have two in mind to put under my st50. Which one did you get?

When I tried to do this Amazon said they need to add $100 to $1499 (for delivery) which then will be the same as their regular price right now ($1599)

Read the thread backward for four or five pages and you will have all of th info you need. Amazon always adds the $100 "white glove" delivery charge which is bogus . . . They have no service different than Paul's tv . . . Amazon has simply the best return policy . . . No questions or hassle for 30 days if you have a problem, or even if you don't . . . But hurts us all if you return when you had no problem. Paul's can sometimes be a giant hassle if you have a problem. it is worth the $100 up charge for Amazon, but only if you have a problem, which I had on a 65vt30 at Christmas.

No, I paid the extra hundred. Got the 60" for $1599. The process was super easy and already have the credit back. I agree with Rhetor in that I want the security blanket of Amazon return policy. Definitely not the type to return a TV unless it is damaged or broken in some way but I know there are folks out there who abuse the policy to "test" out TV's for 30 days and then return just because they can.

Which is why I am considering the Amazon Warehouse Deals price of $864 for the 50" ST50 in Good condition.

Well, mine shipped two days ago but all I can find out is that AIT will phone me to arrange a delivery time when it is nearby. Not even an estimate on a date. Makes it tricky to coordinate

Ok now I understand perhaps when you did this Amazon had a higher price for this TV. Right now it's $1599 at Amazon so no point
bringing in Pauls prices then.
I fully agree about the Amazon security blanket although up until now I never had to return anything to Amazon being a long time
customer myself. I wonder if local BB wll price match Pauls $1499 so then with tax it'll again be about the same as Amazon and I get similar benefits
and quick pickup too.

I put my order in on 7/18 and I'm in NJ. Home Direct USA for me as well, I guess that's the bigger company and they sub the delivery out locally. When I got my tracking info it said delivery by 7/31, so definitely a conservative estimate.

I ordered with Amazon on a Paul's TV price match . . . 3 days and 20 hours later my 50ST50 showed up at the door. When I ordered with Amazon on Saturday afternoon, the web site said it would be delivered between 9 AM and noon Wednesday, four days later,. . . Showed up at today with Pilot at 10:30 am . . . Amazon is great, but Pilot "white glove" service showed itself a sham again. I had to argue with the delivery personnel for,them to open the box and plug the tv in to make sure glass was not cracked and was operational. I had to argue with them on their own paperwork which described the service they were to perform . . . They said they never opened boxes and checked units . . . Says they do right on the paperwork, but they argued and argued for me to sign to refuse opening the box . . .

I refused to refuse. Amazon is great, but their use of Pilot is ridiculous. They are losing a lot of great sales for the $100 delivery up charge. Amazon was great though when I had a problem, when I had a tv delivered from Amazon with dead pixels at Christmas. That day Amazon sent another tv and had the bad one picked up when the new one arrived. The good news this time? Amazon delivery on time, less than four full days from my order, and in time for the Olympics (though I am running the 100 hours of panel prep) . . . And no dead pixels this time! Panasonic quality on the ****50s is amazing! And Amazon is superb on fast delivery. And, Amazon makes it right immediately when there is a problem. No one else is coming close to the quality and speed of Amazon in the rare cases there is a problem. No one compares with Amazon on average speed of delivery after order.
