About $25 less than yesterday

Hi Folks,

I have been considering the Panasonic VT50 65 inch. I am starting to look at the ST 50 65 inch instead. The TV will be used mostly for watching sports, along with ""regular" TV shows and movies. Will I be able to tell any difference between the ST and VT picture quality?

Also, is Amazon a fully authorized Panasonic dealer? Thanks.

60ST50, now $1,599.99 on amazon
How long will it take the 65" to break the $2,000 barrier? It's $2,382 on Amazon right now.

$1499 + free shipping now at Paul's TV https://www.paulstv.com/Plasma-Telev...-TCP60ST50.asp

Great deal if you don't live in state where they charge sales tax (tax due in CA, CO, MI, MA, RI & VA)

Believe it or not, Paul's TV website had the 50ST50 at $937 with a code all of last week. I left it in my cart at this price and decided to buy today but...guess what? The code is invalid today!! I called them about it and they wouldn't honor the code today so I said "no thanks". I guess I'll just have to wait a while longer.

Just pulled the trigger on the 60ST50 from Amazon. They matched the price of Pauls for $1499. Had read where they wouldn't match because of the $100 white glove that Paul's could add on(and Amazon does for no charge) but the representative said she would.
Couldn't pass that deal up.

Best Buy this week has the 55ST50 for $1449. Good deal for me with my $200 in reward zone certificates.

Good price for 60 inch if they are legit at $1,479. Anybody have any experience with these guys?

Thanks for the tip. I just price-matched my amazon order and got $71 back. They add in buydig's $49 white glove, but even so, it's a nice deal.
I believe buydig is legit, but if you're not comfortable w/ them, just buy through amazon via price match.

Just my luck, buydig shows not available now.

And I was all set to PM through Amazon... grrrrrrr.....

I noticed that Sears online sears.com had an unadvertised sale price on the 50ST50 one day last week and it shows in the cart at that sale price today of $1139.99 so even with tax that matches or very close to amazon's price for that model, but with a local Sears store pickup - no shipping required.
I got one at that price with pickup from a local Sears store when it was at that price last Tuesday during a midnight madness online special.

What is the procedure for doing a price match with amazon?

Thanks

Thanks

Find the tv you are looking for on Amazon's website - there will be a link on that page (somewhere....) to their Price Matching policy - and also to the list of retailers they will match prices with & the terms and conditions of their policy.

Could also try a Search from within the Amazon website...

You can PM Amazon against paulstv to save 50 more bucks. Pauls has it for 1599.99 and Amazon is currently 1749.99.

65" ST50 currently $1999 at Pauls tv. Really thinking about pulling the trigger on this one.

Noob question. Can you pay this amount to amazon or do you have to pay their price which is currently $2100 with the difference being refunded to you later down the road?

It actually doesn't even matter. They charge you 100 extra if you PM paulstv for white glove shipping. So you'll be paying 2100 anyway.

But to answer your question... you can notify them you want to PM before you buy it. They'll refund you after your TV ships.

Oh man. I might have got that if I didn't pull the trigger 3 days ago on the 60" Well, at least I get $50 back on the 60" I ordered.
I wonder how low the 65ST50 will get now that it just broke the $2000 barrier. $1500, $1600?

I thought this was interesting...I called Amazon about the price drop as I remember reading from other posters that if the price went down 30 days after purchase they would refund you the difference. This was the message they sent:

"Thanks for contacting us about the recent price change on Panasonic VIERA TC-P60ST50 60-Inch 1080p Full HD 3D Plasma TV. I recognize you have a choice of retailers and appreciate that you prefer to order from us. Unfortunately, we do not have a post-order price guarantee.
I've reviewed your order and see that the price change is significant from the time the item shipped.
Under the circumstances, I'll make an exception for you and issue a refund for the price difference in the amount of $50. You should see the refund in the next 2-3 business days."

I'm happy they're refunding it, but I think it's odd that they act like this is something they don't normally offer. I thought this was supposed to one of the positives for ordering from them? Or do they not normally offer this? I could swear I've read they did on everything before.

Always possible that their rules have changed, but found it curious that Amazon offered a 30-day Return Policy - but only a 14-day (15-day - ?) Price Match policy, and only for a single event at that (you could request a single price adjustment, but not two).

They also had a reasonable - but Limited - list of WEB Retailers that were eligible for a price match.

Thats the same info I was just given when ordering my 60GT50 Monday. It will arrive tomorrow, but I'm waiting to see if I can improve on the $30 credit I could received based on Pauls online price. They did however stick to their guns regarding the $100 for wg delivery even though Paul's states its free. I can understand really (even though their policy says otherwise) as they use contracted national carriers that have to get paid. Paul's I'm sure uses local delivery guys or their own vehicles.

Great pricing on the 50" and the 55 & 65 aren't too shabby either - particularly for this time of year.

But what happened to the 60" panel? Is that perhaps the only size that has been selling well????

I think the 60" panel is on sale too at Paul's tv, but I would have had to make an account and all to find the price (the other tv deals were listed on dealmac.com)

Understood.

Find it very irritating that an increasing number of sites make the Final Price a SECRET until / unless you work through several screens of the check out process.
