i'm just wondering which place to order my TV from, mainly for the return policy.
Will either of them take it back if I get IR early on? How long will they allow returns for?
I know Paul's TV has white glove delivery - how is Amazon's delivery service?

Amazon's delivery service was awesome - and their price match is also great.

going to try to get Amazon to price match .if they do I'm sold

55ST50 listed for $999 at FRY's. There is no ad for this deal and for those that go looking yes I see that the posted ad for a 55 inch Panasonic is for the 55ST30 but rest assured if you ad the 55ST50 to your cart is also shows up as $999. Hopefully it's not a mix up.

Amazon won't price match Panasonic, i called and asked them before i purchased my 60" ST50.
going to try best buy this afternoon. they said that they would price match the panasonic store. Not sure if they will do FRYS since there is none in this area and it's an extra $129 for shipping through frys.

Frys Electronics is on amazon's TV price authorized matching list.
However amazon only counts the website price (not retail store) and always includes Fry's high shipping cost in the total for price-matching purposes, no matter if you have a local retail Frys store where you could pick up the TV for free.

Just wanted to say thanks for the info on the $999 50ST50 from Paul's and the Amazon price match. I contacted Amazon customer service to ask about the price match, ended up getting one of their reps to call me. While on the phone I purchased the tv, and the CS rep instantly adjusted the price to $999. And as others have mentioned, Amazon is giving 2% cash back.

Thanks again, can't wait to get this tv!

Hi All....

Up here in Canada....I gave up trying to wait for a sale price on the 50 inch ST50

Last year the ST30 was so much cheaper at this time of year.

For whatever reason...my local BB and FS dont have any ST50 in store....and very limited
in stock at the warehouse. Seems like they are pushing the UT50 this year here.

So I bit the bullet and paid 1198 for a 50 inch frown.gif

I guess I was afraid if I waited to Boxing Day that there wouldnt be much left in stock and I would miss it all together ......that and the wife was getting tired of me waiting around for this unit......wife happy....life happy smile.gif

Oh well.....Got to forget I paid a few hundred more then I wanted........

Just got BB to price match Fry's. Thank you who ever posted the deal!!

Ordered the 55" for $1025 from panasonic EPP on 10/11. It said 1-3 day backorder so it should be shipping soon.

Anyone order from panasonic recently and receive shipment notification?

Thanks to whoever posted the Fry's deal.

Got the 55" ST50 today.Getting it delivered this Saturday.I also got a 2 year warranty from Best Buy and it came out to $1226.41

I went into a local Best Buy here in San Diego and got them to price match Fry's price without any hassle. They just checked the price on Fry's website to make sure it was in stock. They didn't call any of the 2 Fry's stores located in SD county to verify the price and see if it was actually in stock.I have about 6 Best Buy stores nearby that are about 20 to 30 minute driving distance.I called ahead and the Mission Valley Best Buy store had 2 in stock.I wasn't sure if I was going to get the TV today and wanted to see a display model of the TV.The Best Buy store customer service rep I spoke with over the phone found a store that still had the TV on display.Evidently most of the Best Buy stores are starting to discontinue the Panasonic ST series and don't even have a display model in the BB or Magnolia Home Theater areas of BB stores. The customer service rep explained to me that even though they didn't currently have the TV in stock they could still order one for me or get one from one of the local stores that had it in stock.I was told the same thing last night at another local Best Buy store when I bought the limited edition 3D Avatar blu-ray.That store didn't have the 55" ST50 on display.

So I really don't know how much longer the ST series will continue to be carried at Best Buy stores and it seems they are getting harder to find. Also not sure how much longer Fry's $999 price will continue to be advertised.

Panasonic EPP is $1375 for the 60ST50. Plus tax and free shipping. Should I jump in now or wait for holiday sales? Also, will this Panny blow away my 58" Sammy plasma- PN58C8000? Any opinions? Thanks.

To those who posted the epp deals which forced me to look at my place of employment epp deals...thanks! Got the 55st50 for $1024 as well. Tax bumps it to almost 1100, but that still beats the 1300 I almost spent at amazon. Glad I watched this forum!
Hey, looking to snag either a 60UT50 or a 60ST50, and my research landed me here. I'm self employed so I don't have access to the EPP, but I really covet those prices to take to Best Buy to try and haggle a price match. If someone could help a brother out and do a screen cap of a cart withthe EPP pricing for those units and message it to me, I'd be forever in your debt.
Wow. Panasonic is really tightly controlling inventory this year. Iam not even sure if we're gonna see the $2000 mark for the 65ST50 we saw a while back through Paul's (with Amazon price matching it in some cases) for the rest of the year. I'm optmistic though.

Almost pulled the trigger on the p55st50 @ Fry's for 999

decided not to, going to wait until there is a good price on the p65... frown.gif I hope it doesn't take long, I'm TV-less right now!
Fry's $999 price for the 55" ST50 from last week is now gone and the TV is now priced at $1699 on their website.

Glad I pulled the trigger on it last week and got it price matched at Best Buy.
Wow....I wish somebody in Canada would misprint a deal so I could get it matched smile.gif

A 55 ST50 for $999 ? I will be lucky to see the 50 inch here for that price. Right now the lowest Ive seen the 50 ST50 is $1199 canadian

Finally. The first price drop in quite a while for the 65ST50. U.S Appliance has it currently for $1997 out the door. The price will be shown at final checkout. You will need to enter a credit card number. Amazon does price match U.S Appliance but will probably charge an extra $100 for their version of white glove shipping. Still not too bad as this is the first decent deal for the 65 in quite some time.

Panasonic VIERA TC-P50ST50 $947.00 at Amazon.

Wow, awesome. Gotta call up my old landlord and try a get my deposit back today so I can buy this sucker while it's on sale.
Eh, price went up $50 over night :/. Paul's price matched (tried to give me some story about how they couldn't due to Amazon charging tax first) for a $996.

Hope you've been lazy enough and waited till now cause Amazon just put up that sucker for $1997. You have to go out to the final checkout page to see it. That is the best price for the 65ST50 so far this year next to what TigerDirect had a while back. With Amazon's unmatched return/ exchange policy and 30 Day price match guarantee- you can't beat it as you're covered through black friday.

I just went ahead and purchased mine smile.gif

Now if only those stupid 3D glasses that should have been included in the first place would come down in price..........rolleyes.gif
