Panasonic ST50 Deals - Page 28

I've got a 55In ST50 available that is at the warehouse awaiting delivery. I can have it shipped elsewhere if anyone still is trying to find a good price for one. I paid PaulsTV $1149. Anyone want it for $1050 and I'll pay the shipping to you.

Why has the price gone up so much on the ST50, a couple of month ago Amazon had it for $1999. Nebraska furniture mart hear in Omaha even had it for that price. Now its back up to $2300 on amazon. Why is this? Is it due to demand and limited quantities now?

After selling the 60GT50 for 1711 while the 60ST50 was at 1940, Amazon finally wised up a little bit and lowered the 60ST50 to 1699. Still too high for me to strike with the 60ST60 about to come out for the same price, but it's a step in the right direction.

Edit: But for continued laughs, the 55 and 60 inch are now the exact same price.

Yeah I tried getting that deal last night but unfortunately they were out of stock in my area. I called Amazon to get a price match but that department was closed. The guy told me I still might get the deal today and he made a note of it on the account. Hopefully I can still get it. That's an awesome price.

This should also help you out ALOT getting amazon to pricematch since they were turning some people down with a "we don't match limited offers" line.

PS: Several sites and cards give ~5% back for things bought at sears.com (Not naming names since several of those sites are purposfully blocked here.)

Amazon approved my price match. I have 24 hours to agree to it. The only thing stopping me now is the burn in/ image retention issues I've been hearing with this model. I do a lot of heavy gaming and sports watching so Theres going to be a lot of static images. I owned a 2010 Panasonic plasma and never had any issues. But researching the UT/ST/GT/VT, it appears they are very susceptible to IR and Burn in.

Can anyone whose owned the ST comment on this issue? Thanks!

I had GT and now have VT...never had any issues with IR or burn in. That being said, I was careful for the first couple hundred hours of use...I didn't kick up the brightness when watching regular TV (mostly news and ESPN), and tried to watch as many full screen movies/shows on NETFLIX as possible (had the brightness kicked up there). I was also careful not to watch a single channel for too long. Hundred or couple hundred hours of doing that, and you should be fine...It takes about a month or so. I do not play games and cannot comment on that...but if something can cause a problem- it is gaming. When you watch regular TV at least there are commercials which remove the logo for 2-3 minutes at the time...

I purchased my last TV 7 year ago through Sears and was very happy with my purchase and their customer service.

This time I wish I went to Amazon for the price match instead of Paul's TV. I contacted Sears, and apparently the only one that is in stock near me is an hour and a half away. I didn't consider amazon matching the price and best buy doesn't have any other available so I tried contacting Paul's TV. If you are looking for the sears price from Paul's TV, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time as it took them 45 minutes to look into the matter and at the end they said that they can't accept the price match as Sears only has it for in store pickup only and not for delivery and since Paul's TV doesn't have in store pickup option, they cannot compare the two. I was shocked to hear this, they wouldn't even negotiate an offer such as tacking on $50, but they have now lost a sale to Amazon.

Thanks for the heads up on the Sears deal as I was able to purchase. They did not have one at any nearby stores but they are sending one from a warehouse for store pickup.

I have both the 65" ST50 and the 65" VT50. The reflectivity in the VT is still pretty high. It is not great in bright rooms. If you have a significantly bright room, I think you should seriously consider getting a top of the line LED TV with a matte screen.

I have my 65" ST50 in this room, and I wish I would've bought an LED with a matte screen. I don't yet have blinds or anything on those top windows:

The larger ST models seem to be sold out everywhere I can still get a 60" U50 for 898.98 or 55" UT50 for 749.99 but I don't know how they compare to the ST series for PQ?

I am having a hard time finding a 50" ST or GT in Canada, its sold out everywhere :\

I have my hopes for a new ZT60 but this looks real tempting.

You are right. This is the end of the the 2012 model year and most stock have been cleared out. I just bought a P50ST50 from Audio Video 2001 tonight , but the price was nowhere near the Sear blow out in the US . I wish I live in the state.

Not exactly a deal, but Amazon finally wised up again and cut the price of their 55ST50 to 1,299. There was 3 left, now 2. They were selling it for the same 1,699 as the 60 inch for a long time.

Not really a blowout price, but if you really want a 55ST50, it's not too terrible and this may be one of the last chances to buy one.

My local BB has a few 55st50s priced at $1099. Should I jump on that price or wait for the st60 that comes with a pair of glasses with my epp discount for $1275?

Anyone? I've seen one review state basically there's no visual improvements. Is the design any different?

1099 is a solid price for that set. Only reason I'm waiting for the ST60 is because I wanted a 60 inch and all the 60 inch ST50's are gone or going for too high a price.

Sears has the 50ST50 for $799.88 again today and Amazon will price match if they have inventory.............Got mine two weeks ago w/ Dec 2012 build date.

Jesus the 65" has increased by $300 on Amazon in 5 days! WTF? I guess I'll be getting the Samsung PN64E7000 instead.

The 55ST50 is now $999 at the local best buy in Florence Kentucky.

The only Best Buy near that has a 55st50 is a display model. Their offering it to me for $899, which would be $962 after tax. Should i Jump on it? Only comes with power cord and remote. No Box
