What goes best with the Monoprice speakers

So it looks like I am going to go with the Monoprice speakers for L, R, Center and surrounds. (not sure what the diff is tho between the 6.5 and 8" ones)

My question, though, is what goes best with them as far as a Sub and a Receiver? Can any of you recommend what to put with them or what woudl go best? Not sure I am in the right forum. If not, where should I post? Thanks.

Budget, I would say 300-500? I dont know for sure yet. It will be for HT setup. The Room is in my basement. I dont have the exact measurements handy but it the room itself will be split up some so the whole room doesnt need it. Probably 15x20ish?

Any thoughts from anyone? I know I am not giving alot of info here..just wanted to get some general thoughts a good receiver...

I dont knw man. I am so confused with this stuff. Im trying to cut costs b/c I am getting the basement finished. So I want a decent system. I know the Mono price arent that great. But for the price, i read they are good. I have alot of other expenses with this basement so I am really trying to limit wher ei can without TOTALLY sacrificing sound. I will have 100" screen with Epson projector, LRC Monoprice and was considering also bying the Monoprice sub with it....then getting a decent receiver.......

I dont want to get a reciever that is "too good" for the speakers and dont want to get one that is not good enough..which I am guessing will be hard to do with these cheaper speaks. I dont want something that is too powerful or where I wont be able to use all the features/power with what i have.....hope that makes sense...thanks guys.

I like the HK one mentioned above too. Just wondering if that would work good as well. This is for HT.....

Doing some price shopping.....any thoughts on quality in relation to price and which you would go with:

I think the Onkyo NR709 is out of my price range I think. The more I look at these, I am not sure I need all that. What does the NR709 have that I would need that the other 4 above dont have?
