I want a new TV, but I have a problem room

I think I am almost ready to get a new TV. I think I have a semi-difficult room for a TV setup. The wall opposite the TV has a big window, 1 wall is open to the kitchen and the other wall has a set of French Doors. I attached the link to two photos. They also show the current position of my Samsung DLP.

This TV is used any time of day or night. It will be our main viewing TV. I have RG6, power and Cat6 run to the wall behind the Samsung. There is a plug/outlet on the wall at about 4.5' off the ground. I plan to mount the new TV to the wall to save some floor space. You can see the electronics cabinet in the corner.

I was leaning toward a LCD/LED with a matte screen (Like the Sharp LEDs).

I spoke with Chris at Cleveland Plasma and he likes the Panasonic Plasma TV.

I spent a couple minutes watching my Father-in-laws plasma and it was like looking into a mirror at the right/wrong angles.

Distance from the window to the mounting location is just over 17'
Viewing Distance from the couch to the mounting location is just over 13'

Would an angled mounting bracket get rid of the light from the window? I'm thinking no.

Other than a blackout treatment on the window, do you have any other ideas?

Thanks

Holly crap! is that a TV or a solar furnace?

What would an angled mount do for you??? unless you are willing to watch the TV from an angle, which would be weird.

U have a large window directly behind, u have only 1 choice: a matte LCD. That's it. or block the window with some heavy-linen curtains.

Well... It's about 8 months later and still no new TV. But I think it is finally going to happen.

I'm still very interested in the Panasonic TCP65VT50. There are some very good deal right now.

The Sharp I'm considering is probably the LC70LE847U. A couple hundred less than the 65" Plasma

Then there is the CES Problem. Looks like Panasonic announced the new lineup today. TC-P65ZT60 with all the new interface and "Smart" features looks pretty cool. Arriving in Feb 2013.

What other models should I consider for this problem room?

Thanks

Well, I went with the 2012 Panasonic 65VT50.

The light from the window is a very minor issue. You can see the opening in the curtains in the photo below. It does not bother me and it usually only visible in the dark areas of the picture.

I'm super happy with the TV and I expect it to look even better once I get past the break-in / Calibration.
