Panasonic Veira DNLA Issues

Hello all
New to the forum so forgive me if this topic has been addressed before.
I have a Panasonic TC-p55st30 that I purchased a month ago and all in all very pleased with. The problem I am having is with the DNLA. At intial setup the streaming from the PC to TV worked great. It recognized my PC that is on a netgear secured wireless router. I could select it through DNLA and there were my files. (I could access my music files and photos although some of the photos could not be streamed because of format). This past week when I went to access music it said server could not be found. I have not changed any security settings or firewall settings. I can see all the devices from my PC that are on the network and my PC is on there. Is there some port that needs to be open or some setting that I need to change. I am stumped and any suggestions would be appreciated.

What operating system are you using on the computer, what file type are the files that you are trying to access through dlna? What Anti-Virus & Firewall programs are you running on said computer? Have you updated the tv recently? Have you tried using TVersity to do the sharing vs. trying to use the app on the tv?

I am using Vista on my laptop, files I am trying to access are mpeg and jpeg files, running Mcafee virus and firewall, TV is up to date. I downloaded the Serviio server program and that seems to be working alot better.

Get rid of McAfee, and install Microsoft security essentials. If you are behind a router and this computer is not a laptop, disable the Firewall and disable Windows Defender itself in Administrative Tools > Services. If it is a laptop, only allow the firewall to be enabled on the Public/Roaming profile.

Then see how that works out for you. McAfee is terrible with causing networking problems.
