The Baytown Disco

Thread Starter
After her ex-husband Carlos (Billy Bob Thornton) shoots Celeste (Eva Longoria) three times in the gut, it's time to play dirty. In the fight for her godson, Rob (Thomas Brodie-Sangster), she hires three outlawed and redneck brothers (Clayne Crawford, Travis Fimmel, Daniel Cudmore) to bring him back to her. But nothing can be that simple in the South.

Now The Baytown Outlaws-

I had a lot fun with this one. Great script, cool characters, and some really amazing set pieces for a shoe lace budget. If you like stuff like Smokin Aces, grind house movies you'll be right at home with this. There are some big names in this but the characters that leave you most impressed were the ones you never seen before esp the one cat who couldn't talk Lincoln...how he expressed himself with just gestures and little quirks. And the one mentally challenged kid who I thought they got a real one was really an actor was amazing when he talked in the behind the scenes.

Everything clicked and executed like a well oiled machine. And amongst the chaos and violence, there was compassion, humor and redemption. In the behind the scenes feature Billy Bob Thornton said these guys who made this movie namely dir Barry Battle will have a big upside in this industry and promising future I have no doubt and hope they have more in the pipe line. This is the movie Machete and Killing me softly wished they could be.

NOTE; one of the most funniest scene is towards the end when these two sides were having at it and shooting it out, guns blowing up and they pass by a highway patrol car. One of the officer turns on the siren but his partner immediately turns it off and goes...." oh no indeed, hell no". They wanted no part of it.
