Popping Sound From BA MCS 160 Sub?

Hoping someone can shed some light on this for me..

I have a Denon AVR-1312 and a BA MCS-160 Sub attached, randomly the sub will make a popping sound while watching TV. It will make the same noise when the sub comes out of "standby" (when audio device is turned on after being off for awhile) which I would image is okay but I know it shouldn't happen while in use.

In my settings I have it set to 150hz and LFE+Main, and the volume control on the back of the sub is set to about the middle.

My Cable Box is connected to receiver via HDMI.

First guess is that the levels/signals sent to the sub are too low and the sub is going back to standby mode. When the volume increases, the sub activates and thus... the "pop".

Thanks for the replay, that's what I figured as well. Anyway to prevent that?

Leave the sub always on.
Change x-over/bass management settings in the receiver.

1. Leave the sub ON instead of AUTO
2. Turn the volume down on sub and up the sub channel level on receiver
3. Are any of your speakers set to LARGE? They should all be set to small.
