Hi guys: Haven't been on in a while but I thought I'd share some pictures of my bedroom setup. Bowers and Wilkins 685B's bi-wired to a Yamaha V-563 (with bi-wire active in settings). Crossover set to 60hz with a Klipsch 12 inch subwoofer under desk behind foam. Crossover on sub set to 70Hz. HDMI audio @ 24bit/192kHz.

I do a lot of audio production and mastering and the B&W's are fabulous to master on. Tell me what you think, advice and criticism please

What amp/receiver are you using for the 685s? Just curious.

Hey postrokfan:

I'm using a Yamaha RX-V563. It's a 7.1ch but it had the YPAQ auto adjust and it supports bi-wiring internally so I pulled the trigger. Phenomenal amplifier with these speakers

Cool. I have a pair of 685s in my bedroom setup as well. They pair well with a Marantz 1602.

Yes they do; I loved listening to them @ work at Best Buy paired with the Marantz receivers.

Why do you have the crossover on the sub set to 70hz when you have the receiver x-over set to 60hz?

So these are OK being used as Near Field speakers in such a small room? I'm seriously considering these (as a local chap is selling his at a very good price). Otherwise I was looking at the AudioEngine A5+ powered speakers... Have you ever heard those at BB?
