Perhaps having the Reality Creation on is actually making the crosstalk look more pronounced.
The T.V. performs great in anything else thrown at it -- blu-ray 2D, H.D. broadcasts, even non H.D. stations and standard DVD's look good as well.
I have not re-tried Hugo yet since everything thinks that film has some serious cross-talk.
I appreciate any feedback you might have or any suggestions.

I don't think the 3D on yours is faulty, too, even with Hugo; and as I'm discovering, perhaps mine isn't either (though the ghosting on the characters was pretty heavy toward the end of the movie). Depending on the television and the glasses, Hugo will eat them alive. The HX850 is apparently prey and not predator for that movie. It can handle other 3D movies fine, but in general it's doesn't appear to be the top 3D performer in its class.
I am considering trading up to the F8000, though. Its latest review compared it to the HX850 and gave the win to Samsung, and I do like the Samsung's feature set. I would just have to get a refund on the "premium service plan" that I got with the Sony in order to do that. I don't think it would be a loss. "Speak to a live person in America, 24/7! We'll help you with anything!" I actually gave them a call and got routed through several different automated machines before it hung up on me. "Premium" my butt!
