Hard2Bear, it is extremely rude and condescending to come in here and laugh at people for their opinions. Most elitist douchebags are so wrapped up in that they are TOLD is good that they can't see reality for themselves. If you look at any commercial or video game with a white backgroud, it's brown with Warm1/2. Are you really telling me the snow in SSX is supposed to be brown? Did someone pee all over my mountain?
And if you are not using Reality Creation or Motionflow, you're missing out. This TV has a GREAT video processor and to turn everything off is just stupid. I agree with you on the stuff on the 2nd page of picture settings, but you are way off base regarding Motionflow and Reality Creation. And again, since most of the "pros" calibrate their TVs in a pitch black room, their settings are useless to those of us with normal human living rooms.
This site is not just for enthusiasts; any moron with google can find it. Try to go easy on us peasants, please, your majesty?
I have thought that maybe Warm1/2 looks better for PAL sources, where in the USA, NTSC looks too red. I do notice euro stuff looks whitewashed on American TVs. This may be why we disagree.
I have eye's Kevin thanks.
I actually didn't even mention motion flow etc, i was talking about the 'enhancers' if you actually read my post.
Reality creation is purely a sharpness adding tool, it isn't adding any missing information to the picture it is masking detail, yeah it may add nice 'punch' to the image to you, but to me i can see it is adding noise and grain.
As i said, all panels vary etc, Warm 2 looks great on my Sony, Neutral is way to blue tinted, making people look pale and ill, is that how people should look?
Yeah the processor is good, i let it deal with the de-interlacing of SD etc on it's own, but i am not having it add noise to my image just because it's a 'feature' of the tv.
What i was laughing at is the fact people get hung up on "i should use all the enhancers to get my money's worth" as i say if you actually look and test them properly (i have) they don't enhance the picture at all.
I am sure i have said before, motion flow can aid motion when used on the clear setting, standard just looks odd and does nothing to aid motion resolution, and LED Dynamic Control should be on, the rest should be off.
As i said, horses for courses.
