Unfortunately Still $7500+ from any place where you're not playing Russian Roulette on the return policy if you get a bad unit, which isn't a risk I'd ever take. Google any of those "dealers" you mentioned and you get recent complaints in the hundreds...some by our own AVS family. And the "$6200" you causally referenced is a sphincter-tightening "wired money only" 2% discount deal from EC, which is a risk no one sane would ever make.
Also, and even worse, the BB price included (yep, included) in-home installation...meaning you have the chance to test everything BEFORE they leave. With the "dealers" you're mentioning as being comparable, it's a race of you cutting the set out of the packaging, plugging it in with no stand installed, trying desperately to get everything checked out before the delivery guy leaves. Many many horror stories of this exact process happening on AVS, where the delivery guy gets huffy and is on a schedule, leaves, and you're now SOL when the tv doesn't check out (your expense to ship back).
Very curious to see where the pricing of the 657 comes in myself, hopefully it's somewhere around a street price of $7k from reputable local dealers. I doubt it will have the new bezel or packaging, which is a shame because it's much nicer looking than the 2012 models, but honestly the new processor and BT upgrades are the main reason for seeing what happens over the next few weeks.Edited by Mako88888 - 6/24/13 at 1:54pm
