I recently purchased a full projector setup from work for a steal.
-epson 8350 pj
-elite 92" sable frame fixed screen
-palliser pacifico seats (row of 4)
-klipsch quintet and sw-350
-denon 1312
-harmony one remote
I know they aren't all the best they can be, but they were all brand new and only cost me $2100.00.
My issue is I have never even considered or researched front projection until this fell into my lap. I am building a room now to accommodate everything and just need some expertise in what I am doing. My room will be 12' wide by 14' long and mostly soundproof. I am going to be sitting under the projector and am looking into shelf mounting it. With a ceiling height of only 8' I am lost with how high to make the shelf for the best picture and experience. Another idea I had was to mount a small cabinet about 8" tall to the wall and use it as both a pj shelf as well as a place to store all of my remotes. Any help anyone might be able to give would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
