Netflix black screen of death

When I stream Netflix via 7mc plugin or even IE (full screen) the screen goes black after a minute or two of watching. The audio still plays, but the PC is otherwise unresponsive. I have to push reset button in order to reboot. Playing inside of IE seems to work if I don't go full screen, though I haven't tested that extensively.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Silverlight 5.06.

Does it do this with any other fullscreen play? Like youtube, hulu, etc. Also, have you tried it on a different browser like Chrome or Firefox?

Confirmed it works fine when not full screen.

I really only want to use 7mc. I tried IE only to try and narrow the issue. (Pretty sure the MC "plugin" is just an IE control.) Guess I can try another browser to pinpoint if it happens in all Silverlight clients.

So guess this isn't a know/common issue?

Running 7 Home Premium x64 on a custom HTPC. Video card is HIS 7750 iCooler plugged in to a Sony flat screen via HDMI. I'll try on board Intel HD to see if it happens regardless of video hardware/software.

Hrrmmm. Seems to work fine full-screen from Chrome. So it's an IE only issue, which sucks b/c that seems to be what the 7MC plugin uses.

Big long thread about this issue, here: http://experts.windows.com/frms/wind...px?PageIndex=7
