Stream ReplayTV shows from DVArchive to AppleTV?

Can anyone suggest a way (app/other software) to convert ReplayTV shows stored on a Mac with DVArchive into a form that iTunes can then stream to an AppleTV (or iPad, for that matter)? I no longer use one of my ReplayTVs for recording new shows, and I'd just as soon move its shows completely to DVArchive on my Mac and stream from the Mac to the AppleTV when I want to watch them. (I would then retire that ReplayTV, and have one less box in my configuration.)

The conversion software needs to run on the Mac, not on an iPad, since I want to stream from the Mac to the AppleTV.

Can't you just convert them to mov files (like in MpegStreamclip, which is free) and then move them into your movies folder (or move them wherever and put an alias in your movies folder) to access them via Apple TV?

Perhaps MpegStreamclip is, indeed, what I need ("free" is good!). I did a search and found it. I'm just not familiar with video conversion software. Looks like I'll need to buy the MPEG2 component from Apple, though, right? How to get iTunes to notice the converted files for streaming is something I'm sure I can figure out.

I have a Seagate FAT+ and Patriot PBO (Media Streamers) and both can play the ReplayTV files stored on my DVArchive server.

What happens when you try to Play / Stream a show via your AppleTV?

Ummm, you raise an interesting point. I just assumed the ReplayTV file format (MPEG2) wouldn't be compatible with iTunes/AppleTV and would need conversion. Time for me to do more research as to what format video files can be associated with iTunes and therefore streamed to the AppleTV.

I forgot about the QT component (I sort of inherited mine a long time ago).

I didn't think anything Apple could associate with any containers/files except for mov, mp4, flv and any other Apple-approved formats (so NOT avi, wmv, mpeg. etc.). I don't think you can play mpegs in itunes, so didn't think Apple TV would play them. You CAN play them (and everything else too) in Quicktime/Front Row, but need that component for that too as well as Perian.
