Sunlight Reflection Makes Vertical Streaks on Video

I have had an Olympus Stylus 7010 digital camera for a couple of years.

Photos come out very good.

But for the first time I used it to take video at a car show and when I got home, to my dismay, everywhere the sun glinted off a chrome or metal surface there was an ugly vertical streak in the video.

Is there any video editing software that will solve this problem?
