Side surround speaker stand

Hi guys,

I've purchased Infinity Primus 163s for side surrounds in my system and I'm looking for stands to place them on. Placement restrictions prevent me from mounting them to the wall. Since I've read in many places that the placement height is important, I'm looking for fairly tall stands. However, I can't seem to find any suitable stands. The best I've been able to find is something like wc-41.5 wood technology stands, but the top of these is 4.5" and the 163s have a base of 8x10 or so I'm not sure of how stable that would be.

Thanks in advance for any help!

To properly support speakers like yours, stands need to be heavy, stable, and firmly set against the floor.

Reviewers use only steel stands that can be filled with lead or steel shot or sand for maximum mass. Good ones are not cheap.

Check out the Sanus steel stands, such as the UF34.
