Digital lifestyles wt322 wont turn on

I have a wt322 lcd monitor...I purchased this from someone and i was told it works great. Unfortunately it does not. When i plug it in, there is a red light that comes on in the front, And then i try to turn it on (pressing the Power button) and i Hear it try to turn on, but nothing.
