Harmony One bad battery problems - looking for a replacement remote.

I had the swollen battery problem in my Harmony One and would like to find a remote that is comparable that takes standard batteries.

The battery went bad and I had to remove it (leather coat, safety glasses, leather gloves) with pliers.

Is there a remote that uses online setup like the One? Maybe the 650?

Why not just buy a new battery? That is a known issue with the remotes batteries after a year or two. You can get a replacement off Amazon for around $10. Not sure if the replacements swell eventually or not but mine looks like new after 4 months of use.

I did order a new one from Amazon but would rather not use lipo batteries at all. I fly electric rc and see more problems with these batteries than any other type. lipos have a bad rep for fires even without being damaged or swollen.

Ahh, now I understand why the listing says get 'em while they're hot. JK

Lol, for sure. Actually I am really missing the Harmony One while waiting for another battery. I now have several remotes to juggle again.

Looks like the 650 would be the one to get and it is on sale.
