This is one of my highly anticipated games, but only for the single player.

Me too.. But, for the multi player. Like - 1, 2, & 3 were good. But they were single player, and I don't see how much fun I'll have playing pretty much the same thing. Just with a different plot and new weapons.

Garnet red PlayStation 3 bundled with God of War: Ascension and 500GB HDD arrives this March for $349

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 90

Sony apparently sees 2013 as a chance to colorize its aging PlayStation 3 console, today announcing yet another new color for the superslim packing 500GB of storage. To match the blood red tattoos found all over God of War star Kratos' body, Sony colored this one garnet red, and is pairing the console with God of War: Ascension -- thusly, the bundle arrives on March 12, the same day God of War: Ascension is scheduled to go up for sale. Unlike its "Classic White" brethren, you won't get a full-year subscription to PlayStation Plus in this bundle -- a disappointment considering this one costs $50 more. It does, however, include not just a copy of God of War: Ascension, but also God of War Saga (which collects the first three God of War games) and God of War: Origins Collection (which bundles the two God of War PlayStation Portable games). That's a total of six God of War games included in this bundle, so you'd better really be into spending time with Kratos should you pick this up.

So now, finally, they decide to start sending the color options to NA. Good deal for the dough and if you're a GOW nut.

How about a hint at what God of War graphics may look like on the PlayStation 6? tongue.gif

I just watched the first 30m gameplay of the sp. It made me want this game even more.

Here is a link to a preview snippet of the game and the video you mention itself. I refuse to watch it or read about it:

God of War: Ascension's Single Player Is Predictably Awesome
Ascension delivers the core Kratos experience we all want.

God of War: Ascension single player is so good that all I wanted to do was stop playing it this evening. Slitting the throat of a monster with its own blade, smashing open red chests for orbs, staring slack-jawed at one of the most beautiful games on the PS3 – I understood early on that this was the Kratos experience we all know and love; no need to ruin it for myself. I wanted to put the controller down and wait for a complete copy of the game to arrive.

Instead, I played the first 30 minutes of the single-player adventure, but you don’t have to rely on my feeble words to experience it. Here’s the play through for your viewing pleasure. Check it out, and then read my analysis below.

I'll admit it, I purchased Total Recall 2012 for the demo.

(For the record, I used a xmas giftcard from Amazon, so technically it was free.smile.gif Film is surprisingly well done, not a remake but follows the book, and Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel make the perfect badass eye candy.)

Since then I have put myself on Media Lockdown (tm) and am avoiding all videos and screenshots. I did cheat and read the Kotaku preview, but that was a write up and was very vague on any story details.

I will not be tempted by the ease of clicking on posted links. Must... stay... strong redface.gif

Is it on disc or is it a code? If it's on disc, I might Redbox it to try it out.

It's in the 2 disc Director's Cut version, on the features disc. The cool thing is that, once installed, you can play it without the disc.

had fun with the beta

After watching GT's interview with the producer, I'm no longer worried about the single player. It actually looks more epic than all of the previous games. Just ridiculous. Can't wait to play this game.

It looks awesome. Epic is the best way to describe it.

I am trying to ignore a lot of press on this game so stuff isn't spoiled, but the stuff I have seen looks amazing. I can't wait for it to get here. March will be a busy gaming month.

IF you've been doing the Rise of the Warrior game on the GoW site, the SP demo codes are up if you were a spartan.
The SP demo is coming out tonight, but I am not sure if I want to check it out or just wait for the game to come out in a couple weeks.

I

I'd wait. I played it last week, it's basically the first 30 minutes of the game.

Nice! Thanks for the info. Definitely going to check it out.
Well, if it is just the first 30 minutes, then I might check it out. I just didn't want to play a demo of something in the middle of the game.
I started playing through the demo and something just felt off about the game. I was rushed because we had to run to the store, so I didn't get a lot of time on it, but I was enjoying it like past games. I will have to play it again tonight when I actually have the time to sit down and see if it changes my mind.

Don't know what the guy above me is talking about because the demo is awesome. That giant thing with all the arms that you fight is just as epic as Cronos from GoW3. Can't wait to get more familiar with the combat in the retail release because it definitely seems a lot more varied this time around.

The demo was Epic. Day 1 purchase for me!

Game looks awesome! Can't decide between this and Tomb Raider. Bioshock Infinite is coming out too in less than a month and I'm still having a blast with Borderlands 2. So many games so little time!

I couldn't decide either, so I preordered them both. Still not sold on Infinite for some reason.

As awesome as GoW A and Tombraider look, neither will be touched by me after one completion which is why I am renting both. I love these type of games, but once they are completed I dont feel the need to revisit them.

That's what I got. For twenty bucks, that's too much content to pass up. Plus it says it comes with a season pass for DLC, which usually costs twenty bucks by itself for other games. Definitely seems like an awesome deal. I've never gotten anything other than the standard edition of any other game, but this one seems worth it.

I just fired this up for the first time to make sure I get all the free DLC. It's a pretty cool graphic novel to follow if nothing else (though it isn't finished yet). Anyone who plays it but does not want to spend time figuring out the clues, here is an answer guide.

^^ That's a review that reads like he had a pretty great time, even gushing on certain parts, then docked it a bit because it was another sequel and wasn't "different' enough. A great game is a great game weather it's #1 or #6 in a series. Opinions are just that I guess.

Then again, on a real 10 point scale 7.5 is pretty excellent. On the "video game 10 pt scale" there are some fanatics that think a 7.5 is a disaster. I imagine any number below 8 will be a click generator, especially for the lesser known sites.
